I believe the issues lay with: A. Attempts were made to bring it to PGIs attention that were ignored, and B. Having been made aware of it, PGIs utter lack of foresight allowed the issue to affect their prime clientele(MWOWC players in general) on a very public platform, to which I will reiterate the OPs point, is the ONLY reason it was resolved virtually over night...

I'm not disputing that, I'm saying that's a fairly common and not completely unreasonable way to prioritize bug fixes.

I have a similar issue in MTGO at the moment, two cards in a deck I've built are bugged. I've reported them 3 times, and there has been 4 patches since the 1st report. Now if any of those cards had been in aany of the popular tournament decks those bugs would have been hotfixed the moment they caused problems in a high level tournament match, but since they aren't it's going to take longer time and not be a priority. It's annoying for me, but I understand and accept it.

Prioritization. We, the general masses, arnt the priority. But you know.. if a bug pops its head on live TV well, thats a problem that needs to be addressed asap. Dosnt matter whos playing.

Yes, of course publicity will, and should, raise priority even more. Publicity in combination with official tournament makes that two reasons for urgency.

There is nothing wrong with that. Not sure how morally naive some people are but in the real world businesses need to prioritize resources and public image and official events are naturally high priority.
