Having read all the Battletech books I was looking for a new series. Through Amazon Prime lending I ran across the Four Huntsmen Universe (4HU) books. Great reads!!!

The basic story line picks up upon earth's 1st contact and us humans becoming only the 37th race of "newbie" mercenary's in a dog-eat-dog universe with thousands of alien races and a 20,000 year history of stab your business partner in the back politics.

I would start with the "The Revelations Cycle" (12 Book Series, https://www.amazon.c...duct/B07BK3LV4F) for starters and branch out to the various other story 4HU archs, (The Omega Wars, Four Horsemen Tales, etc)...
