All have a 315 Capped Engine, so speed is not going to be crazy, but you can make it go 120kph or so pretty easily. A lot of how this compares to the Assassin (One of my favorites) will depend on the quirks.

HARDPOINTS

VL-2T: 3 Ballistic, 3 Energy and AMS. LMGs, and MPLS maybe?

VL-5T: 5 Energy, 1 Ballistic, and AMS. Hmmm LPLs if I can fit two, if not then 5 ERSLs and a LBX 5? Could be fun if it fits.

VT-5M: 2 Ballistic, 4 Energy, and 1 AMS. LMGs and MPLS again. No need to have it unless the quirks do something that the 2T doesn't.

VT-5S: 2 Ballistic, 3 Energy, AMS, and MASC. You could put the big engine in it, then Some nice Laser vomit, and LMGs, the look for lights, hit MASC, and run them down.

VT-6M: 4 Ballistic, 2 Energy, and AMS. Another crit seeker, but maybe dual LBX 2's or 5's, then some light Laser spam.

VL-BL 'Bloodlust': 3 Ballistic, 4 Missile, 1 Energy, and AMS. This one has me interested enough that I bought a pack, and the Hero. I see keeping the SRMs, maybe dropping them to 4 SRM 2's to spam with, and then backing it up with 4 LMGs. Hang back, wait for the battle to evolve, then rush in, and crit seek. I doubt I will ever add that token energy point, but maybe I'll see some merit when I am building it out.

What are you going to use? Also if you are going to say anything about not supporting PGI, just go ahead, and say it elsewhere. I know now I've fed the trolls, but Mama told me if you don't have something nice to say, the STFU...

The hero has the potential to be a better Assassin-21, so that variant is the one I am most excited for.

I don't have much faith in this mech's performance, but that 5 MPL build looks like a worthy contender to the Wolfhound. I'll have to see how it turns out before considering it.

It's arms will work great at protecting it's body, which also means basically it's weapons are gonna mostly have to go in the torso and ct.

I did an AC 20 on my 2T. Got two kills, and 600 damage. I had to go down to a Light 250 engine and strip some armor, and the jump jets, and only carry 3 tons of ammo, but the high torso mount for it actually works pretty well for peek, shoot, and retreat.

I currently run:
VL-2T: 280XL, 2xAC/2(3t), 2ML
VL-5T: 300XL, 5xMPL
VL-5M: 300XL, 2xSNUB (poor mans AC/20)

The 5T seems to work, the rest is meh. But sample size is still rather low.

I've only set up my 2T and my 5T. The 2T is a memebuild with 2 MGs, 2 ML, and an AC2 on an LFE 240. It's really not intended to be good, it's just a ****-about build that I wanted to try. The 5T on the other hand I have set up with 5 ML and an LMG on an XL 280. Unlike MPL, you have a heat gen reduction quick for standard MLs. The 2T is acceptably good at being a fun build to mess around in when you don't feel like being serious, but the 5T seems to actually be good. I don't know if it'll be superior to an SRM bombing Assassin, but a decent 40 ton energy boat is fun and effective.

Lb2 fires really fast without skills invested. Stock plus 2T can be a decent skirmish/buddymech. No upgrades and just a fragile XL and its doing pretty decent the few times I've used it so far

Except that time i face tanked and got lolalpha'd xl check. That went fast.

My fav so far,

VL-2T "Supcan" - RAC2 2.5 ton ammo + LPPC + 2 x ERSL + 1 LMG .5 ton ammo + AMS .5 ton ammo + 250 LFE.

the RAC is in the high mount (hence 1 machine gun) so peaking is awesome. Its good at keeping bigger mechs in check and has the mobility to get out of danger.

Support mediums is all I have been running lately so this build slots in nicely.

Overall I like the chassis a lot and find it fun to play.
