I believe this is still accurate to the order in which ammo is depleted. Though first reason this image has the right on the left and vice versa.

I usually put ammo in the legs for my IS mechs. Then in the head. I know that sounds like a death sentence. But as long as you have at least 16 armor. You're unlikely to be critted there. After that I put it in the right torso or even CT since it'll deplete first. If your CT goes, you're dead anyway. If you're running XL then side torso getting ripped open is death sentence anyway. : I

As for Clan. It's the same order. And they have CASE all over. So it's not as volatile having ammo in arms or STs.

I store ammo in the head and feet first because destruction of these places means your dead any way or will soon be dead

Its simply a drawback for clans. Particularly assaults. That much weaponry won't leave you many slots to work with so you have to get risky and creative with your ammo placement.

IS you pretty much always want ammo in the head then legs, then wherever else you want if you have more to equip.

nope, ammo in head get used first then cT > rt >lt >la > ra then feets, there is somewhere the thread for the right ammo usage. Maybe i find tomorow, going bed g´night peop´s

Head ammo is used after feet ammo. Was pretty sure before today but to make sure before posting I just dropped into the game and loaded up one of my Javelins. Half-ton of ammo in a leg, full ton in the head, maxed out the jump jets and stripped the armour off the leg with the ammo. Shot off a half-ton worth of ammo, jumped enough to destroy the leg, fired off one more shot (ammo counter doesn't seem to refresh until a shot is fired) and still had about a ton of ammo left. Had the head been used first I'd have had only a half ton left.

yep i know. there is somewhere a newer thead here in the forums from Dec. 2017 but doesnt matter the pic on page 1 seems to be correct after Ruccus tested it

Ammo count does refresh on consumption.
Tested it a while back.

You can get one extra round of ammo even if you have no more ammo on the mech. I think we can call it cambered?
For single shot weapons (LBX/AC) it's 1 shot
for stream firing weapons (UAC) it's only 1 shell
For srm/mrm/lrm (even clan) it one volley
Each weapon system counts independently

Not super sure about torso/arms but i am 100% sure that torso/arms->legs->cockpit

If i recall correctly, it should be CT->RT->LT->RA->LA->RL->LL->CP. I've tested it, just can't find the post.

This is very old pattern. Few years ago head became the last place instead of first.
