Details about Intel's upcomming new CPUs have been released

Upcomming are the i7 3770, i7 3770, i5 3570k, i5 3570, i5 3550, i5 3470, i5 3450, i5 3330

the i7 are at 3.5ghz to 3.4ghz

the i5 range from 3ghz to 3.4ghz

Features shared by all the Ivy Bridge CPUs are a TDP of 77W, a 2-channel integrated memory controller, and AES-NI support.

Smaller processes are giving everyone trouble, big trouble. Release dates are being missed, yields are abysmal, and above all else, prices are high.

Coupled with the fact that Intel probably isn't going to dump its Sandy Bridge line, I expect these CPUs to be very expensive. The upshot is that the hyperthreading will be as useless for gaming as it is on the i7 2600, so the cheaper i5s are still going to be the gaming CPUs to get.

as for price i believe the i5s to be around the $200 mark(price range of current i5s) and i7 likely higher than that

well when ivy bridge is released i suspect there is going to be a drop in price of the sandy bridge CPUs, personally I would like to see how the i5-3570k stands up against the i5-2500k (one the best CPUs in Intel's lineup when it comes to value and gaming performance)
