Hello mechwarriors!
Regarding the topic name, I want to discuss the low tier play, as I started new account recently and new pilot starts with tier 5. So I have found out, that matchmaking on low tiers is terrible! There are no tier 5 and really few tier 4 players, so I waited for match to start for more than 5 minutes, like in FP...
So, maybe, one day, tier calculations will be pached? Is therre any rumors about that? For now, I guess, most of the players are tier 2 and 1, as I have no problem at all with my tier 2 account, so, maybe somehow harden the reqirements for tier grows?

My alt account did not have much issue waiting in T5. Be sure to play during NA or EU prime time for optimal experience.

Yes, it is not a prime time, but i`m telling about the difference between tier 4 and 2 in my local playing time. And it is huge. Just now i saw a conversation in match chat about whether MWO dying or not, as matches making way too long, so it is not only me. I just think that this tier balancing is making some new players to think that the game is dead...

No worries, most T4-5ers will graduate from such level soon enough and be thrown in with the rest. As for whether msot players belong to T1-2, there is no proof/statistics whatsoever on that.
