I like that you guys brought capacity up to 50 to minimize the effect on non-target builds. However, the dissipation feels too high on laserboats. I think you guys should bring external DHS down some to counter balance that.
Somewhere between .15 and .17.

50 Capacity Is Good, But You Need To Bring Dissipation Down

Yeah. While I didnt play against anyone just playing around in the testing grounds I could tell the new builds would be Blaser builds, Brawling Lasers. Decent Alphas of 55 or so with as many Sinks as possible and all the duration/heat/cooldown quirks you can get.
To clarify you would alpha with the builds. Youd fire somthing like a group of 1 cLPL and 2 ERs wait a second and fire the other pair. Because of the high dissipation this thing is VERY easy to keep under overheat.

Heat Cap could be 45 and have slightly higher dissipation. Really not a fan of having a higher heat cap at all.

The PTS is here to fix high alphas, less heat cap helps to alleviate the problem. Staggered fire means your damage will likely spread to other components now that mechs are more nimble.

Meh. I think they should bring it down to 45. If anything they should buff IS external dubs. Since they're shet by comparison.

Overall, last PTS's 40 threshold was probably to low (even if it felt great) and 50 threshold feels like it does nothing making it feel like it's a bunch of 4v4 live matches. So I think 45 threshold would be better and actually have a feelable difference.
Do recall, with skills you can pump that threshold up. Though I do get tired of game mechanics being balanced by skills, it does still need to be considered. So if you had the threshold skills on your mechs, you may have been more likely playing at 60ish heat threshold rather than 50...

But it doesn't fix high Alphas if you can fit Gauss.
At 50 heat it does not while at 40 heat did, it wasn't a big difference but 14 less damage per alpha on Gauss+laser was a start. You can find my long *** post comparing these issues on the PTS 2.1 announcement.
