It is a BIG step in the right direction. But 50 is too high for a heat cap. It needs to be lower. 40 maybe. Then reduce the cooling rate on DHS so an alpha strike cannot be done from a laser vomit HBR every 15 seconds. My 2 x HLL + 4ERML HBR was able to fire a full alpha twice one after another then While I am forced to sit and wait behind cover it is for a shorter period of time than in the live version. But again I have to state I feel this is a huge leap in the right direction.

You need to reduce drastically the heat on Ballistic Weapons and reduce ammo counts. The Ballistic should be a low heat alternative to lasers, the only down side is you will run out of ammo so people will be forced to bring mixed builds if they want to hit their 600 - 1200 damage per mech. SRM's are great for brawling with and I think are great where they are for the moment, but we can see where the meta takes us in a week or 2 of playing.

PTS 2.1

I think heat cap is way too high too if certain weapons don't get nerfed. I got 3 different Hellbringers, I was surprised how I can alpha the highest alpha on cold map simply by letting go of throttle. I recall that has 2 HLL and 6 ERM along with -10% heat quirk.
