You know stats are public and compiled right?

yes...and i know for sure i play more than him. on every day, every single day...for at least 4 to 5 hours. and the last 2 weeks done almost back to back FW with Kcom and MS. if you want to check me..go ahead. i have no reason to lie. im not gloating...just stating facts. spheroid may have once upon a time had the right to tell me off, but no more. i have nothing to prove. i am a better pilot than him. and very good mech builder. im tier two, have excellent performance records in game, and know what the hell im talking about in regards to pin point and front loaded being more competitive than raw damage. i will gladly trade 5 or even 10 damage an alpha for more permission and ability to put that damage EXACTLY where i want it, which i can do with a Gauss.

i had a ppc+gauss adder build i used to use. it was stupid because it required stripping armor and it was ammo starved, but it was a mean little sniper.

It's not a matter of if its good in this meta or game at this point....I just want to pilot it!

I'm with you on that, but I'm not sure it is in the cards for this game due to it's very niche role in BattleTech.

Regardless, I'd advocate it's inclusion because it is a cool and unique mech (even if I do prefer the slightly heavier Hollander II).

Seriously why?

The Hollander in Battletech table top is a garbage mech. I don't see it performing any better in a video game.

I've actually done quite well with the Cicada and Assassin mech with a Light gauss and PPC.
I'm getting really tired of this "fast mechs for ganking"(like Assassin and Piranha) mech meta in a game where ganking SHOULD NOT be a thing outside of a single mech way out of position.

Although, cant be cretin of how the mech will preform, it would be a lot more fun to have the hollander than some of the mechs would compete with. It's stock armor is 4 tons(not all of the armor a 35 ton mech could carry) and it's limited to fewer weapon slots. theoretically, much better than the current firepower spam that's taking over MWO. I'm not saying, if it's injected, it wont get the meta treatment. Just saying that the chassis has more viability for balance due to it's design features.

Even for fire support the Holly won't be that great unless Godquirked. I'm completely okay with Godquirks and I'd even volunteer to administer them myself, but I know that our Balancing Overlord™ doesn't like to give out strong quirks anymore.

would be pointless to add the hollander

because its not good

and because you can already do what the hollander does anyway with other mechs like the raven

I would rather see them add mechs that actually bring something new to the game. for example I think PGI should add the naga and catapult-C with hardwired ARROWIV.

well, I can't improve your disposition that it wouldn't be an interesting mech that offers unique capabilities. There are other mechs that would be fun to have in MWO since it's about piloting mechs and working together as a team, and I'm always interested to see new mechs added to the game.

I'd play a Hollander. I'd rip out the Gauss Rifle and replace it with a UAC/20 but I'd play it.

I been known to play a Raven with a Gauss Rifle and fair to say its a challenge. If you don't get owned buy faster lights, its you get alphaed off the field way to fast. Its alot easier using a Ac20 then a Gauss Rifle
You have to remove the charge up on it to make it even a little viable.

I’m dumber than a bag of hammers. If they release the 45 ton Hollander II I *will* buy it and run it. My husband and I used to call it the “Schnozz” in MechCommander 2. My excuse will be learning how to use gauss rifles. Yeah, I know, I can do that with any Hunchback, but the HBK isn’t a Schnozz. Bring on the Schnozz.

I would love to have a Hollander II, but PGI doesn't know how to do crit slot splitting, and so you they can't reasonably give the mech it's heavy Gauss rifle and it's XL engine.

HBS BT released the Hatchetman.

Perhaps the Hollander will come in the near future? Afterall they're making mechs that MWO doesn't have already....
