What name? Clan Wolverine? the same Clan Wolverine came into existence with the other 19 original Clans on 11 June 2807, 6 years after the death of Alexander Kerensky? The same Clan Wolverine that did nothing wrong and was punished because the other clans were just wanting to be mean to them. The same Clan Wolverine that became to be known as the Minnesota Tribe?
The same Clan Wolverine that made the Wolverine IIC that was renamed the Hell Hound / Conjurer? That Clan Wolverine?

Okay, for those of you guys who seem think this is the WoB, little lore bit for you.

Shin Yodama and the Yakuza on Turtle Bay broke Hohiro out of a supposedly inescapable prison, and Shin and Hohiro managed to leave the system. The Smokes, meanwhile, were putting down literally ANYONE who resisted at all brutally, and thus caused even worse resistance to their rule (typical of crusader clans). This finally got to the point where CSJ decided to make an example of Edo, Turtle Bay's Capital, by using their Flagship to orbitally bombard it off the face of the planet. this occurred in 3050.

Hohiro and Shin's escape also is how the DCMS managed to bait CSJ into an ambush on Wolcott, one of two staggering defeats of Clanners by the IS pre-Wolf's Dragoons getting involved, the other being Kai Allard-Liao's defense of the pass on Twycross, which culminated in the Jade Falcons losing an entire frontline cluster of OmniMechs.

The reason why the battle of Wolcott is so important is the fact that Kurita managed to develop OmniTech and BattleArmor due to a deal Hohiro had made with the CSJ commander if CSJ lost, for a full lance of OmniMechs and Elemental BattleArmors, which ofc lead to the development of the Raptor, Blackhawk-KU, and Avatar, and the Kanazuchi Assault BattleArmor within the next few years.

maybe this will see a IS omnimech pack announced next month or after the event...… but I really doubt it. if they want to make them useful they will need to bend the ruled and give them the equivalent of clan XLs.

Meh... It would be about time for Inner Sphere XL Engines to finally get their mechanics changed. Instead of an Insta-Death on Side Torso Loss, those Mechs could just be hit with a larger penalty than Clan XL and/or I.S. LFE Engines have to take. I think it would still be rather balanced to change the game in that manner, and it would give more credence to the I.S. XL Engine's worth on the battlefield. Heck, it might also result in causing less of a want/need to be mean to Clanners and/or LRM'ers in terms of Game Balance, as well as the Mechs those people prefer (or possibly need, if they're suffering Real Life Physical/Medical Issues) to pilot.

yes they do I have removed XLs from all but my lights even if a mech claims to be XL friendly.

They are literally the only honorable Clan because they alone called out Nicky Kerensy the Tyrant on his bullsh*t. The rest are tarnished for complicity with the latter.

You know, they DID also nuke the Genetic Stockpiles of another clan. They were annihilated for breaching the Ares conventions.

Was the Snow Ravens if i recall correctly.

No they did not. Widowmaker stole nuclear weapons from Wolverine and used them at Great Hope, and Wolverine was framed for it. The Snow Ravens, too, attempted to use nuclear weapons, but they f*cked up and nuked their own capitol; they then also blamed Wolverine for it.

Basically every single Clan apart from Wolverine were blood-thirsty, self-absorbed, traitorous scum back then, and only the Diamond Sharks would eventually evolve out of that into something resembling respectable. Wolf, Falcons, Jags, Ghost Bears the lot of them are all Nietzschean trash.
