I can only see a dev road map for last year? Are my forum search skills just failing me again?
I listened to the first 5 minutes of a podcast on CW (which is a mode I won't be playing).
Any new maps coming our way?

They have Mech Con coming out on Dec 1st. From what I have seen they hold back on a lot of announcements so they have something to show during it.
I'm just guessing but I would say yes to a new map but i wouldn't plan on it until after Mech con.

Let's just hope they have more than a few slide shows and 20 second video to show. They seriously need to hire someone that knows how to do good presentations.

Heck, there's several months of patches BEFORE MechCon... they could do a roadmap post about that timeframe.

They could and they might but its only going to be about bugs, new mechs and balance stuff.
Anything cool will be after mechcon. At least i think so. This one is going to be a little different because they're going to be showing mech warrior 5. They might not even show new stuff about mwo.....
One thing that makes me worry is Paul's post about CW not having programming resources to do any big changes right now. They will only be able use the systems they already have in place. This says to me they have all hands working on mw5.

Of course they are focusing on MW5..
But it also kinda feels like they are actually working on FP improvements.. If the last podcast is to be believed.. some nice things might be ahead..
So hoping for some big announcements before the year is out..

I would suppose that their not entirely unreasonable plan was to deploy Solaris, reap the rewards from this for the rest of the year whilst they focus on MW5.
It makes sense to be fair. Solaris clearly did not provide said rewards but the high-level decision seems relatively sound.
The podcast made it quite clear that no devs are allowed to do anything but tinker for the rest of this year.
I suppose the question hanging in the air is if they will re-allocate resources back to MWO after MW5 is (eventually) released or if they are going to keep everyone on MW5 for DLC. Or start something else.

First off, the answer is MW5. Any other questions?
Secondly: Solaris failed........ Of course, many of us use LRM's and we're not smart enough to have figured that out.....
Third: We are rotating all the way back to where this entire concept started: in single player story line games that were not interconnected. That way, if one failed to sell, it didn't drag the other installments down with it....
Fourth: We are an extreme, small niche market whom are mostly dissatisfied with the past 5 or so years.....what could they say that would be accepted........errrr, well, sort of accepted with a pound of salt?
As the late great Robin Williams said about golf: "then, they put a little flag way on top of a hill.....just to give you F**cking hope"..... Is that what you really want?
Have fun and ignore the rest "cause tomorrow is another day"...
