Hey. I Just wonder: so many good events last month, so much effort from devs to make the game better. I guess, the best state of the game is when it dies. Prizes are great, grind is minimal. It also will grant the sence of pride and accomplishment, when the servers finally get down - you was there(somewhere).

i just wish they would rotate the modes. you can do a solaris event, an fp event and a qp event every month and still have room for the new mech of the month mini quest.

"Dying"?

Whatever do you mean...?

Haven't you heard? There are TWO Mech Packs coming this month!

TWO MECH PACKS!!!
TWO!!!

This is surely the catalyst the game needs to enter a new Golden Age!

Gotta hand it to PGI for this kind of out-of-the-box thinking which will surely re-populate the active player base!

A year ago they were doing the Civil War challenges and Clan Heroes II challenges.

Two years ago they did the 'Weight of the World' event, Cyclops release event, and the 'Epic Assault' Event. There was also Energy Draw being tested on the PTS to try to make the game better (I remember all the pitchforks that came out with energy draw back then).

I don't really care about getting into an argument about whether the game is dying, but PGI has been giving us solid events for years.

I don't think about such trivialities, I simply play the game. Been playing MWO for 6 years now, which is a lifetime for such a game.

The events are what's causing me not to play. Too long queue's for QP when there's a faction event going on, so i just play something where i don't spend 5 minutes waiting, 3 minutes walking, 5 minutes fighting, 2 minutes waiting, rinse, repeat. I'm spending less time playing than i do waiting.

Active players are 28.140 according to the first graph (blue line) on this page:
https://leaderboard.isengrim.org/stats

The "Current active players: 57,116" at the bottom of the page is some different measurement.
Also check this page tomorrow again (or whenever season 26 is updated) at which time I will predict that the number is below 25000.

Also check this graph if you dont believe the down trend of MWO:

Another gloom and doom thread? I am actually happy with a lot of the stuff that has come out lately, by look, play style, and sheer well made robots! Thanks.
