IMO the WHM is still the better mech, for begginners.
  • The heat on the Alpha is lower
  • You can run a number of builds that are strong
  • ECM in the HBR while good, is a crutch and makes people lazy. Once you play against btr players suddenly ECM does not help anywhere near as much
Granted the HBR does have better mounts, overall. But it can only really do lasers. WHMs at least give you variants that can do ballistics well and, oddly enough, some Brawling/SRM/MPL builds also... Issue there is 3 variants means 3 lots of grinding where you can grind out one HBR/Swap omni pods with generally minor skill tree changes.

Good video either way mate - just my personal view. Well done as always.

For a new players wich are eager to play and not everyone have much time to commit to gaming I think this video is a bit too long.
Also I think U should recommend 1 mech fo each side Clans and InnerSphere becouze new players should have option to play FP with their own mech sooner than later if they decide so.

Dont take me wrong still think U are doing great job doing this RjBass3.

We did discuss the Warhammer, and I mentioned that if a new pilot was just going to do IS then the Warhammer was their best bet. But overall, and if IS/Clan was not a concern, the Hellbringer won out. With a Hellbringer, as I mentioned multiple times in the video, you can spend less by swapping out the Omnipods to get a completely different build, where as with a Warhammer you have to buy a whole new mech. Granted, a specific variant of a Warhammer can do some of those alternative builds better, but for a brand new pilot with minimal CBills, A Hellbringer comes with much more flexibility in what it is capable of doing.

One Hellbringer can give a new pilot some experience in so many different play styles with so many different weapons. But it would take three or possibly four different Warhammers to do that.

In the end, everybody has their own opinion, and I am not saying any one person's opinion is wrong, I'm just explaining the reasons for mine.
