No but seriously thou, it's a build code for the mech import/export feature. It's been in the game for months.

I know this feature, but you load the pre-saved loadout, how do you input those figures?

Back when PGI really started to show how little they cared about actual work on the game and hoping something as shallow as Gold Mechs would help them out.

Not to call you a fool for buying a golden mech for some stupid amount of money.... but well yeah. The rest of the fanbase didn't appreciate the flagrant whale harpooning going on.

Considering the amount of money people have spent on MWO, including me, 500$ isn't even all that much.
For me at this point in time it may account for a quarter of money spent.

Ehh.
By a dollar per hour ratio it's better than Netflix or going to the movies to me.
Also I'm not playing any other online games, only got so much time for games where I can't hit the pause button.

Some like to spent obscene amounts of money on audio equipment, some on tuning cars, some on weapon skins for other online games.

At least it's not SC, a few thousand dollar doesn't even get you all the stuff in the game, whenever it would be finished, if it's going to survive the lawsuits with CryTech.

If I had to guess you mark the code he posted, copy it with your right mous button and click in the mechlab on import.
Import and export put/load a code into your clipboard.

I reverse engineered the export format, so now I can edit build codes.

I'm sorry I haven't replied in months or created the topic I said I was. Ive been distracted, and lazy lol. I will eventually, I recently had my right hand half paralyzed, so its hard to type, and play MWO now. My right hand doesn't seem to work the way I want it to anymore :(

Hey, I just wanted to say thanks to the guys who pitched in.

Reality is, that 100k a year programmers are what you need to properly mod an engine and keeping the funds flowing during beta most definitely made things better.

You will never hear me say that this game hasn't been an epic letdown on all fronts, but conversely, I'm going to play whatever mechwarrior game is state of the art, and give the devs money as often as I can, and frankly, kudos to for throwing $500 on the dumpster fire of history, in the hopes that in general, the game works out better.

It's that thing about wise men planting trees that they will never sit in the shade of...

Damn bro, I'm sorry to hear that.

I severed the ring finger of my right hand a few years ago (they glued it back on). The nerve and structural damage has made both my ring and pinkie finger useless on that hand. It took a lot of work, but within the last year I've built up enough strength to hold a mouse almost normal again. I also compensated for a bit by moving fire groups to keys close to my left hand.

You can work around it, its tough, but its more rewarding playing well at a slight disadvantage IMO.

Is this thread why you've been dropping the gold 8xLB2 direwolf in matches today ?

Basically this is why we have loyalty mechs now instead of 'gold' mechs, Much more customer friendly, and not quite as expensive. Personally I wish they would unlock all the gold Mechs for those who bought one.

In six odd years of playing the game i think i've seen a grand total of two gold mechs. And there was nothing special about them and the temptation to leg them even if on my team was hard to resist.

I pity people who plumped the obscene amount of cash for them as Russ and Paul must of been pissing themselves laughing all the way to the bank.

Yeah, I had been TK'd or legged when I first dropped the mech. Years later, it's very rarely even noticed in a match. Once in awhile I get people looking at me, and if I see an enemy Gold mech I target it like the VIP, but otherwise its no biggie today.

I laughed a bit at your last comment. I doubt they did, but if so that's okay too; I've lost far more money in stocks, start-ups, charities, scammers, etc. that I'd best not quit the day job Posted Image

Amazingly only got attempted TK once. The guy who tried ended up getting rinsed by my lance and then we all subsequently got rolled by the enemy team. Other then that one occurrence and a few other people telling me I'm an idiot for spending my hard earned money on something I genuinely wanted to succeed I never got TK'd.

All in All though I still always pilot my Summoner, it's a fun mech to play and I think I definately got the hours out of it for the ammount of monies I spent. People needed to mellow out about the whole thing IMO. Star citizen was taking 10's of thousands of dollars off people for a game they couldn't even play, like atleast I cant actually pilot my gold mech the way it was intended...

If I had a gold summoner I'd run the **** out of it as a poptart and call it the "golden shower."
