Looks like a good compromise between the insanity of my build and something slightly more reasonable.

Thanks, fixed. One quad LRM15 and the other triple LRM20.
Looking forward for the Fafnir (but rather because dual gauss / stealth and heavy gauss / MPL builds for extra cheese).

I think i'll run into trouble if i take any more then 90 tons as an LRM off'mech thanks to my warhammers / raven.
Maybe with a Catapult or Jager as a lighter secondary LRM'mech. Good to know since this rules out an Archer.

Anyhow, just picked up an Assassin and a Bushwacker from the sale, next will be the Mauler.
Still having hope it may shows up on sale after the 10th of september.

I have said repeatedly (and been shouted down) that good light pilots make or break most FW and even comp matches. I play most the time with really good players and we set up on caustic/polar/alpine with a couple of folks set to kill lights. Be that backstabber or spotters/NARCs. Do that and it's an easy thing.

Take a look at comp play. MWOWC and MRBC div A. The team with the better lights wins the fights at cap points and then wins trades because the best lights can pull 1 or 2 enemy trade mechs aside, opening up for 3v1 or 4v2 trades that start the landslide.

Good lights win matches. Consistently. They may not do it directly but they are the dynamic element that creates the opportunity that's exploited to win.

I've been running lrm100 SMN with no armor.
Sadly, PGI doesn't allow me to use them for my IS decks which i assume will be the same for a nova cat.
