To those already in the beta: Is this one more like MechWarrior 4 or more like MechAssault?

I prefer the original MechWarrior games that felt more like a sim to the lame 3rd party arcade style MechAssault.

I recently got into the Hawken beta, thinking it would be more like MechWarrior than MechWarrior Online, but it's not even a real mech game in the sense that I know it. It's a first-person shooter with a Mech-like HUD. I want to feel like I am in a mech, not that my body is robotic and just as maneuverable as a real human body.

If I were in the Beta, which may or may not have a Non Disclosure agreement to which might suggest I probably couldn't give you any info about the Beta

Mechwarrior.

You can just look at the videos and see it. Mechlab, 1st person only, heat, ammo, etc.
Everything should fit for a quality MW experience.

Lol. I wonder if Pillow's Hawken NDA breach will get him kicked from Hawken, or if the MWO NDA breach will get him kicked from MWO? Or both? On his first forum post too...how sad.

NDA dosnt prevent anyone answering to common knowledge questions for obvious reasons, you dont need to be in the beta to know outright that this is closer to MW4 then it is mech assault (which was an affront to all things mechwarrior IMO), but if you have tucked your balls that tightly into your purses try linking new players to stuff thats out in the open such as MWO's youtube channel http://www.youtube.c...ture=CAgQwRs%3D

I did not have to sign an NDA for Hawken and I am not in MWO (yet). My line of thinking when signing up for the betas was that MWO was probably going to be more like the MechAssault franchise.

And the only reason I ask instead of watching videos, is that the videos can't really convey the information I am seeking. Hawken's videos sure didn't.

There is an NDA for the Hawken alpha, but it doesn't forbid users from saying that they are in the Alpha.

well...it might be closer to MW4 then to MechAssault (way closer)...

actually it is aimed to be closer to Battletech and the MechWarrior origins than MW4

i can´t tell you though, if this goal is beeing reached or not, cause NDA and stuff... , but everyone here knows (should know^^) that it´s PGI´s intention...
