I get pretty strong hard-on for AC/10s. Sexiest weapon system in-the-game IMO. Could you please announce a list of mechs that can boat it and are good with it? Clan/IS doesn't matter. Being reverse joint matters though...

Victor VTR-9S - 3 AC10's

Kodiak KDK-3 - 4 cAC10's

Annihilator ANH-1A - 4 AC10's (gotta fire 2 and 2 though, ghost heat's bad on IS AC10s)

Warhammer WHM-6R - 2 AC10's, 4 ERML

Bushwacker BSW-X1 - 2 AC10's

I run dual UAC/10s on the following reverse-jointed 'mechs:

IS:

Nightstar
King Crab

Clan:

Ebon Jaguar
Sun Spider
Dire Wolf

In addition, while I have chosen to do something different with the following 'mechs personally, here is a list of other reverse-jointed 'mechs that I think should be capable of doing it, some better than others..

IS:

Catapult
Cataphract
Marauder

Clan:

Mad Dog
Timber Wolf
Marauder IIC
Warhawk
Blood Asp
Mad Cat MK II

I'd look into the hbk 4G's 25% range quirk. Just swap the ac 20 for 10 and you get all that weight saving for other stuff. Also give the Centurians a look. The D is ment for lbx but one of them had ac 10 quirk. Go into the store and mouse over mechs to see if they have either range or cool down quirk for ballistics. Here's my short list of mechs I use.

hbk-4G 25% range quirk.
Centurians good all around and zombie lasers with lfe ot std.
cent-d 20% cool down
cata-ctf 1x 20% cool down
Dragons 10-15% cool down
Catapult k2 10%range

I thought he was joking. You mean to tell me there are people out there who refuse to play mechs because they don't like their leg joints? That eliminates most of the best mechs in this game. I refuse to believe anyone would be that arbitrary in picking mechs.

Not all of us are playing for stats, for some of us aesthetics has weight. I run a Quad ERPPC Night Gyr, not because it performs well, but because it looks awesome!

I am assuming you want I.S. since nobody uses Clan AC10's Posted Image

Bushwhacker for medium. Catapult (can have jump jets) and Cataphract (tanky) for the heavies. King Crab and Nightstar for assaults.

I think there's a Raven with a ballistic hardpoint, but it may be the Hero version.

Thanks, some nice suggestion there, especially Catapult, that build looks pretty fun. I might also try Victor. Standard ACs didn't work well on KGC no matter how I tried though.

Actually I am not joking. Though I have an RGH (which I enjoy quite a lot) and HBR (which is strong, but it's no fun for me), the rest of my roster is fully reverse jointed. Sometimes I consider picking humanoid walker mech, but in most rare and dire occasions. Can't help myself.

WHM-6R: dual ac10 + 4MLs

Also....a lot of fun as well is a Bushwacker with dual ac10s and an XL engine....
Just stay at 400+ you'll be fine, its really quite exhilarating to play honestly due to the XL.

oh...reverse joint?
Whats that matter? Though it would be cool if reverse jointed mechs had characteristics diff from traditional jointed mechs.
Less shake, less fall damage, JJ perks?

I almost forgot, I run a 64KPH-XL Uziel with a couple of AC10's and 6 Jumpjets.

It's a nice little poptart, and can dish out a fair bit of damage, just don't get caught out. Plays like a glass cannon.

It's not reverse joint, but try the Hunch IIC.

Its not reverse joint but the good old jaggers. 3 ac 5's or 3 ulta 5s, dual 10s or Ultra 10s even dual ac 20s.
My favorite is dual ac10s and 6 medium lasers on my jagger hero the fire brand. She chews threw cts and makes me bucket loads of c-bills.

The dual AC10 Bushwacker (X1 probably does it best thanks to its 10% ballistic range quirk, but the X2, P2, and High Roller do double AC10s just fine too) is a beast for its tonnage. I enjoy playing my dual AC10 Bushwacker. If you like dual AC10s, don't discount the AC20+SNPPC combo. I find it plays similar to dual AC10s, just a bigger punch and longer cooldown. Luckily the X1, X2, P2, and High Roller can all do the AC20+SNPPC combo too.

You can also squeeze a pair of AC10s in an Uziel UZL-2S if you strip its arms and run either a ~235XL or 200LFE engine.

Why the insistence on dual jointed as seems irrelevant to performance? Posted Image

Most of the best ballistic heavies I use definitely aren't dual jointed.

Sigh, I miss my ballistic mechs, like my Gyrfalcon with C-UAC 5s and C-UAC-10s. And my Blood Asp, the Mad Cat Mk-2 and especially Death Strike, too. I think I want to play with them soon.

On the IS side, long time ago and still today, I got Cataphract with AC-10s. Also Catapult K2, Jagermech, King Crab, and the Mauler. Not the least, the Marauder.
