Like 8 PM EST - 12:00 AM EST are pretty good.

That's 10am-2pm for me. I checked today, and there was barely anyone in my unit or friends list online during those hours.

But I guess that could be because I have formed friendships with those who play in the evenings my local time.

Anyway, I will try dropping solo in the 10am - 2pm timeframe tomorrow and see whether I can get matches.

The challenge wasn't hard to do, won or lost.

Depends what you define as 'hard'.

I find it 'hard' to consistently get stomped in QP matches, despite having meta'd up, done most damage and kills, only to witness most of my 'Tier 1' side running away from the enemy, hiding, getting surrounded in their favourite camping spot ... you know, all that noob stuff which pretty much guarantees a loss.

(And before anyone suggests it: yes, I do try to give positioning advice. It's either ignored, or met with "don't tell me how to have fun".)

My point was: I'm an MC wh0r3*, but the remaining MC is no longer worth subjecting myself to the frustration I encounter in what are laughably declared to be 'Tier 1' matches in the QP queue.

* Note to PGI: "wh0r3" is neither a swear word or a perjorative. It does not need to be censored.

Just give more FP exclusive events. QP has a healthy enough population. Doesn't take a genius to figure it out.

Then your choice is to play during prime time until people get over event fatigue.

Choice Lol you say that until it turns in solaris 2v2.

Or if you can't play in prime time there is sadly choice 2- and do what too many are doing-not playing, there is little or no event fatigue... it is a lack of players.

What are you talking about? (MS) is having fast drops in FP even today. People are playing during prime time.

It has been 4 years and FP is still not dead. There are plenty of dedicated groups to keep it going.

Both sides have the same issue. Which is why I do not complain about it in the forums. I accept it as part of post-PSR puglife.

I only play the weekends anymore due to work. Even with no events prime time group q has gone way down. 5 minute waits to get the same players as last match is starting to be normal.

This post expressed my sadness about the lack of people in the FP queue.

Later comments about QP matchmaking were made only in response to suggestions that I should "just play QP instead".

I just can't handle the QP matchmaking any more.

For the first time ever, I decided I'd rather do without the MC than subject myself to the frustration of trying to carry "Tier 1" potatoes in QP.

been there myself. i think i turned down an entire loot bag event and a free timby because i was fed up with the game and needed a break. i think that resulted in a massive minecraft binge.

i cant help but think pgi is using event spam to keep the player base up in lieu of declining populations. seems there have been more this summer than previous. mc has been rolling in at such an alarming rate, i was able to get 2 clan assault heros this summer for free not to mention various smaller heros. and even that source of novelty is starting to wear thin. its so much that there is almost no point in playing for the mc prizes in fp anymore as it feels a lot more grindy than simply waiting for events that pay mc.

a sign of the end perhaps? or just one more nail in the coffin? entropy calleth!

Scouting Group 1: waited 10 minutes, ghost drop.
FP Group of 8: waited 25 minutes, never even got to a lobby. Eventually disbanded.
Scouting Group 2: waited 10 minutes, ghost drop.

I'm just really sad to see the game in this state.

Waited 40 minutes in a 2-man group que. Eventually S.O. went offline, told me She would watch me play solo.. it felt like shait.

Yeah 2-mans suffer the most.

Try to invite some of your unitmates for at least a 4-man for GQ.

Apropos to the wait times in FP: did Paul say if/when the changes he was discussing in the feedback thread and mentioned in the podcast last month be instituted?

I can sympathise as I find for most group play I drop with NA players from Zeta Battalion despite being UK based primarily. A great bunch but that means mostly 10pm to 10am for me depending on days etc. As soon as you go out of those times it can be barren for a small group.

That said its the old story that you want to drop with friends you can chill with but be competitive as well so I'm more than aware I could go to some of the more public invite groups and play with them in AU/Euro TZ. Laziness on my part I guess. ;)
