There are more weapon-specific quirks than that. Some IS 'Mechs with ERPPC quirks (i.e. BLR-3M, AWS-9M), some Medium Laser quirks (i.e. MAD-BH2, BLR-3M, though these do apply to ERML as well), some Large Laser quirks (STK-4N). There are also some bizarre Standard Laser quirks (one of the Trebuchets).

Stuff like "Standard Laser" and "Medium Laser" fit under the "weapon family" quirks rather than one specific weapon, since they affect multiple different weapons. I'm referring to quirks that literally affect only one single gun since Kolby's complaint was quirks/skills promoting single-weapon builds.

But I did miss a few ERPPC ones on the IS side.

Just saying what I said to point out that there are more weapon-specific quirks than just ERPPC. I'm sure I've missed more than a few, like the Medium Pulse quirks on the TDR-5SS, BLR-3S, CDA-2B which are still a thing. Or LPL quirks on the TDR-9SE. Or AC/5 quirks on the DRG-1N and RFL-3N, or AC/2 quirks on the BJ-1.

That ML quirks apply to ERML, I think, is actually a happy coincidence and not necessarily intentional; PGI definitely splits out laser types for Clan 'Mechs.

Not to mention CUACs have longer range than IS ACs.

And a higher jam chance.
