With the 50% off hero mech sale I finally got my hands on this one and I gotta say, it's impressive.

Running a straight forward SRM bomber build going for as much raw close range damage as possible without being too concerned with how badly it spreads. Works really well for QP, with half the hardpoints being decent for SRM poptarting and the arm ones for tracking targets during a brawl. I also like having the option of being able to fire off a full alpha for a 96 damage burst, granted from zero heat this pushes you up past 90% heat.

Anyway, this feels like it'll wiggle its way into my regular rotation with my Hunchbacks, Centurions and Roughnecks.

So, how about some Pahket appreciation and sharing of builds!

If you get bored with the SRMs, try it with 2 ATM12s and a few small lasers and/or a tag. Jump-ATMing is kinda fun.

One of my other Huntsman is already set up like that so I'm actually reversing the situation (bored with ATMs). That being said it is definitely a good build and fun!

All default omnipods for quirks, four streak6, BAP, light tag and two er meds. Works reasonably well even after targeting nerf.

Tried the 6 srm6 build and liked it
tried the ATM build and it was pretty okay too
With all these frail light mechs that are popular right now, I like the 6 streak 6 build with a light tag the most

really can't go wrong with it. 4 torso missile points is just good

Zero ghost heat incurring build, with better endurance as it isn't 100% slaved to ammo dependency. Also lets you pick legs off of light mechs a little easier because of the hitscan.

Ya, I'll have to try something similar to that as well. I have the inverted build on the HMN-P but it only has 2xMPL versus the 4xERSL and I'd rather have the missiles in the torso for some close range SRM poptarting action.

My pakhet is primarily a light killer (pir' s!) but secondarily any enemy mech is welcome. One of my fav' s !
FP mech, btw.

It used to be way better. But since they messed with cSRM spread 40% of your damage just flys by your target. So atm's with backup clse range weps are a decent choise.

I use 4 SRM6+Art and 3cSPL, you generate a lot less heat, have something to destroy UAVs and SRM6A's convergence in this build is surprisingly effective. Imo, precision bombing >>> carpet bombing.

still akin to carpet bombing relative to IS srms even without artemis.

Frabkly i think the srm6 sprea even with artimis is still way to much... srm4 is palatable but barely. IS srm's might as well be classed as ballistics..

Has anyone tried multiple small atm launchers since the october patch? From the notes: "ATM 3 spread decreased to 2.5 (from 3.2)". Probably still worse than 2 atm12, but I can't be sure as I don't own Pakhet.

IS SRMs are also TWICE as heavy as cSRMs. You get what you pay for.
At the same time, clan mechs, especially omnis, get a lot more missile hard points than IS mechs. So, if you want IS-like spread, pay the weight penaly, use artemis and boat smaller launchers. If you want to carry 8 extra light cSRM6s, suffer the spread and get real close.

This will attract the haters but I perversely like running a full streak build. The velocity and range is fantastic and watching Piranhas explode whilst running away from streaks makes me feel warm inside.

Try to avoid those stealthed Gauss carriers!

I was having issues running a full streak boat and a full srm boat, so I did a mix of them and got much better results. Last SQ match I had 453 damage with it (though that is all splash of course) - run 4 ASRMs and 3 streak srm4s, you’ll have plenty of ammo and have to worry less about heat due to a couple of DHS and no ghost heat from firing both. Benefit is being able to dumb fire when necessary or when unable to track, and still carrying the streak punch for those little squirts. Also helps to have the regular srms to be able to poptart.

Some people love the huntsman. Some people hate it. Neither side will ever see eye to eye.

The mech can armor roll well enough, and if you actually like being able to jump than you appreciate its jets. The mech visually looks incredible. With efficiencies unlocked, it handles very well for a Clan mech. Obviously, it isn't as snappy as those gosh darned overquirked IS buckets of bolts. :P
