In the Titanium Trilogy version of MechWarrior 2, the stock Dire Wolf B is replaced with an LRM-140 boat. My theory is that Activision was demonstrating how the Titanium Trilogy could properly handle and render LRM span, where the original DOS versions would break if too many objects were being rendered simultaneously.

Adding the Titanium Dire Wolf B would mean a lot for the mech. Not only would it add the option for an insane 10 missile hardpoints using the S or UV CT omnipod, but it would also make the side torso heatsinks removable and add the option for lower arm actuators.

LRM Atlas is still the superior mech. But if we're going old school, can we get Renard's Atlas, 2x ERPPC, Gauss, UAC20 and Jump Jets!

The Dire Wolf X (fully legal now that we have Civil War tech) would add some sorely-needed missile hardpoints to the chassis without completely turning it into a walking atrocity.

Give me a Dire Wolf with 2X Clan ER Heavy Gauss, 4X L ER Lasers or 4 Med ER Lasers with full armor (and all the quirks needed) and I'll forgive you PGI. Posted Image

If you swap one of those 20s out for a 15 you can upgrade the 10 to 15. Saves half a ton and a crit slot, at which point you could trim a little armor and squeeze in an Active Probe... Not that I could recommend that many LRM tubes. You'll never be able to optimize tube usage while chainfiring, and the ghost heat from an alpha would be insane. Also, 14 tons of ammo is excessive, you'll rarely (if ever) burn through it all during your typical 12v12 match (though CW is likely a different story).
