I like the new look of the expanded mechlab but without being able to see the quirks for the mech i am doing a loadout for makes it cumbersome.

Use the settings menu to change the game resolution. In the UI it's on the bottom right corner. If you can get to it there go to the training grounds and hit esc. You'll see a button that says settings. Click it to access the setting menu.

Solution:
On the MechLab screen, add a button to the Warehouse menu bar.
Example:
weapons / ammo / equipment / modules / engines /QUIRKS
Think easy not cool.

I think you might have to revise your UI tutorial since this version has superseded the one you covered.

There are two ways to see quirk information (that I've found).
1) Installed weapons/equipment:
If you hover your cursor over an installed weapon, the quirks that apply to the weapon will appear in the bottom of the information box for that weapon that appears on the right. If you hover your cursor over an installed engine you will see the movement and/or pitch/yaw quirks. If you are editing a clan mech, hovering over the Omnipod's name will bring up a info box for that omnipod, and the quirks will be at the bottom, just like for weapons & equipment.
2) Warehouse List:
When you left click on a weapon/equipement/etc in the "Warehouse" Panel, it will bring up a description of that item, if there are any quirks on that mech that apply, they will appear in the bottom of the info box.
(EDIT: FYI: So far I have not found any way to list all of the mechs quirks at once.)

Click mech.
There's a stat window on the lower-right. There's an expand button on the top of that little stat window that will pop it out with more detail including quirks. This is also available for mechs in the store. I think you can also hover over the portrait and the popout will show some stats. It gets pretty long with the skill from the skill tree unlocked if it's a mastered mech.
