So I've been having some fun with the Fafnir-5, the one that comes stock with dual Heavy Gauss rifles.
I also thought the 10% cooldown quirk would come in really handy.
But it turns out the "Gauss Cooldown" quirk doesn't count for Heavy Gauss.
Is that intended or a bug? I can't really say, since the wording isn't clear.

My guess would be bug, by the only way to find out is to harass Russ in Twitter.

Unintended is my guess. All quirks for a mech applies to the stock loadout as a rule that PGI follows.

Not intended. Will be looking to address as soon as I can. All I can say for now.

Now that Fafnir is 'Free" mech. This question is relevant again. So it got fixed or still only applies to regular Gauss.

You can now outfit the mech and even try it in the training grounds before buying so you could just check that yourself.

The cooldown quirk is working correctly for HGauss already, just verified it myself. This is true for the faf 5 and the 5(S).
