The mech has a pretty sad engine cap, that can be a balancing method other than agility. Its expected cap would be 235, giving it a top speed of 58.6 kph. A 65-ton heavy moving at assault mech speeds should be more than plenty to nerf it.

B-b-but then [that one segment of our society] would be upset. Remember how the mad-bh had to be given an engine boost to prevent such things, and the ctf-4x remains the same despite the low hardpoints (ignoring other factors for the moment).

-_-

Also, good on you Jay Leon for including the Hatchetman. I'll take it any way we can get at this point, even if that means bolt-ons. Oh and don't forget the Axman from the Strikers show if the little hatchet is in.

other than goofy looks, that mech has really nothing going for it, especially in mwo-terms.
build it -now- with a firestarter or raven and you'll see: it's sh*te. and I mean that in the most friendly way possible Posted Image

The Phoenix Hawk IIC could be a good mech. Each variant represents a weapon type that can be nicknamed by it.

Phoenix Hawk IIC-1 (Dakka Hawk IIC)
2x Ultra AC/10s
2x Machine Guns

Phoenix Hawk IIC-2 (Lurm Hawk IIC)
4x LRM 20s

Phoenix Hawk IIC-3 (Laser Hawk IIC)
2x Heavy Large Lasers
ER Medium Laser
2x ER Small Lasers

I would definitely like to see a double release of the Wasp and Stinger. I don't mind if they reuse some assets between them, like they did with Charger/Hatamoto-Chi. They need to get their heads right though (unlike the Charger).

I didn't know the Raijin was unseen, but it's definitely one of my favourite mechs. They need to add Triple Strength Myomer, but that seems rather straight forward to integrate. Hardwire it to the mechs that have it with fixed slots similar to ES/FF in omnimechs and that's it. The rest is a heat triggered MASC.

Locust IIC, Shadow Hawk IIC, Griffin IIC and Phoenix Hawk IIC would all be good additions!

Horned Owl would be a nice alternative to the Jenner IIC. And Nexus would make an excellent 25t IS light.

After adding the Phoenix Hawk IIC to the Mechlist today, the Unseen and Classics should all be there. The IICs not yet because many of them have only one variant.

Well it wasn't power gamers that asked for the BH to get it's engine cap boosted. Bishop Steiner for example was a part of that and he's not a power gamer.

It also was a mech limited to using IS tech and having most of its hardpoints mounted in the mid/low arms.

But that being said I would think it would be relatively fair to give the Roflman IIC a raised cap to about 260 anyways because I consider 64.8 kph to be the absolute minimum required speed for a heavy mech to qualify as a heavy mech (if you wanna go below that use an assault). The Roflman IIC has good hardpoints and Clan tech, yeah, but it still has to go up against stuff like the Mad Cat Mk. 2.

Wasp and Stinger being jumping, humanoid 20t Mechs would add a lot to this game. Also, they are iconic.

The Ost-Mechs with their bulbous shape would probably have a good geometry, and their hardpoints are nice, too (even if a bit boring). And their current design is just fabulous; see the new Ostscout:

Give me an Ostroc with that art direction!

That looks sweet, kinda remind me of sketch I did, it look very familiar to the new Ostroc art.

I've done both mechs for the build. I've even used the panther 10-p for super gun quirks. It is 100% sheet for many reasons: low ammo, slow,is xl, charge-up bs,reliant on hiding behind team mates, can't 1 vs anything, etc al.

I'd pay a lot for fully working manual toggle transforming Stinger/Wasp LAMs even if the 'alt modes' were just cosmetic with no mech stat changes. Especially so depending on how much of the maccross/fighter jet look was kept. The champion's jet-on-legs look means they could look very cool.

I hope the next IS light(s) are the Un/Re/NuSeens like the Stinger/Wasp and/or the Valkyrie. Mostly with Flydebris's style.

I would buy a collectors of the Wasp instantly if it comes out.

Late to the party on this one, but given the Hatchetman has... well... a hatchet to use, I'd - actually kind of like to see the mechanic to do *physical attacks* added. Let me brawl! (Or kick. That would come in handy.)
