So why the big change to Clan Heavy Large Lasers of a whopping -2 damage?I
Guess I'll be fielding more Clan Heavy Medium Lasers now due to better output of damage at the same heat with a pair of them.

Not happy at all about the Bushwacker nerf but if it has to happen, PLEASE leave the legs ALONE! Heck, add 4 more armor even.

I am very concerned about the double heatsink threshold nerf to 33%...

Also the I.S. armor quirk nerfs... smh... why????

Okay, why are you adding weapon-specific quirks anyways? Quirks should be general, not specific. They're supposed to make up for a chassis/variant's drawbacks, not to punish players for not using a specific build.

Give them more armour/structure, or better mobility. Giving a mech weapon-specific quirks means one of three things:
1) The mech is balanced for that loadout, and will be sub-par without it;
2) The mech is balanced without that loadout, and will be too powerful with it;
or 3) That loadout is not viable without quirks, and needs to be balanced.

Every patch makes the idea that PGI literally does not play the game and just makes changes based on bad metrics more palatable.

Now that you guys have figured out how to override the stats of equipment on a case-by-case basis, might I suggest a further step in the heat overhaul?

Make it so that engine sinks are at a fixed value regardless of what the Single or Double upgrade status is. This was one of the biggest balance blunders in Classic BT and it carried its problems here. It doesn't have to be at single heat sink level, it could be at double level or any arbitrary number; the higher it is the more the game will lean to faster battles and vice versa.

By completely desyncing the engine sinks from the external ones and making the DHS upgrade only affect externals, then there will no longer be a "DHS tax" when it comes to unlocking a mech's true capabilities. It will also make it considerably easier to balance the two sink types in the future, as DHS no longer has a flat advantage (extra dissipation at no critical space cost) that must be overcome by SHS. While there are a few niche builds right now that can make use of SHS, they truly define the term "niche" and are not seen in serious play.

It might even open the door for some early Invasion SHS IS Omnis to be introduced without being completely crippled right out of the gate.

Whatever happened to having IS double heatsinks perform slightly better than clan double heatsinks, because, you know, they take up 50% MORE crit space? Which means, for example, you cannot fit them in the legs or center torso, nor can they ever take advantage of the cooling effects of water terrain.

*PTS 1.0 Failure*

Time goes by.

PGI: Ok guys, we have a new test. It’s gonna fix everything

Playerbase: BS. You can’t trick us again!

PGI: No, No, NO! We listened to the first test stuff, we really have something now.

Playerbase: No way! LEARN TO PLAY YOUR OWN GAME

PGI: *Implements PTS 2.0* HOW YA LIKE THAT?

Playerbase: Better, still sucks though – do this, this and this and get back to us.

PGI: *ACTUALLY DOES THOSE THINGS* in PTS 2.1

Playerbase: WHOA!?!!???!! They did the THINGS!!!

PGI: You like that huh?

Playerbase: We frigging LOVE IT!! PLEASE MAKE IT LIVE AND ALL TAKE OUR MONIES!!

What a mess... As if ATMs were not powerful enough, you boost them even further... Not to mention inderect boost to self aiming missiles due to ECM nerf...and artemis boost for lurms...
Well, gg wp I guess... With a number of lurmers increasing I dont see possible working countermeasures any more..

I wasn't involved in the PTS testing because actually I DGAF (that's what all you good players are for), however it sounds to me like we should have pts 2.1 and not whatever this is, lol. You guys should all just be as bad at this as i am, then you'll drive around the map in a big metal robot and go pew pew a bit, hit override and explode, go "that was fun" and do it again and again until i finally am too drunk and fall out of my chair, then i'll play some more and people will be "Laser you are playing well" and i'll be all like " thanks man its cause i can't see the screen and am playing based only on the sounds of my enemies footsteps, like a ninja". All true except for the bit where people say i'm playing well, that stuff never happens. I also like to carry ams to buff my match score so thanks for that change, it was amazing (does ams buff your match score? i hope so).

This game is fun, i compare it to my work and find that no matter what they do it couldn't be worse than that, been playing a lot of fortnite lately to sharpen up the ol' mouse skills though so look out

and to keep the gods of metal robot wars happy.

I bought a mech pack.

I am truly afraid that with your further unfunning the game you will kill your player base even further and as consequence deleting your main source of income.

PGI in case you have not noticed: you are making one bad decision after another. Good intentions and horrible execution.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter what the players want, because if you want a first-person competitive mech sim, this is basically your only choice.

Will players who paid REAL MONEY for the IS mechs that are now being nerfed have the opportunity to receive refunds on the questionable bait and switch tactic? If people pay money for a product then that is the product that they should receive. Thanks for the ridiculous clan laser nerfs too, now they have more "parity" and cannot address the overwhelming superiority of IS ballistics. Just when I thought there might be hope for the game you go in and screw it up again, why can't you just leave it alone?

I was just starting to feel comfortable with putting money into the game again.

In a month where there's precious little actually being added to the game, you're releasing a patch which contains known major bugs to Stealth Armor and which nerfs our Heat Containment Skill Nodes without correction...?!

This is worse than apathy. Through inaction, you're actually making the game worse than it was.

Heads up that I refuse to buy anything further from PGI while you put so little effort into a product that you continue to expect us to purchase.

I kinda agree, though its not the armour for me, my annihilator will still have 100 tonner armour, its the mobility and the stalk, the anni has a weak crest disadvantage and a speed disadvantage and a mobility disadvantage, ok it is the armour, the armour was to recognise i can't twist to save myself in this lumbering nuisance, but then again they killed the kodiak so why not the anni???
