Solaris Season 2 Rewards:
To qualify for the prizes, players must have played a minimum of 25 matches in the given Solaris 7 Divisions. Note that these rewards do STACK if you participated in multiple Divisions.

If you have to have 25 matches, why do the leaderboards continue to show people without 25 matches in the standings ? QP leaderboard doesn't show you until you reach 10 matches... why can't the solaris boards not show you until you reach 25 ? In div 4 I'm ranked 371... but there are easily a hundred above me who don't have the 25 matches required for rewards. If the reward requirement is going to continue to be 25 matches in a division...then the leaderboards need to account for this.

So as IS laser weapons is a **** you just decided to "bring Clan laser weaponry into closer parity with their Inner Sphere counterparts" instead of backing up IS laser playstyles. Nice move... Maybe you should think how do they compare to ballistic boating before nerfing Clan laser DPS?

I'm quoting this one because it's worth reprinting a few pages later. My clan mechs which used mixed builds where possible will now be leaning towards ballistic and missile solely. That Orion IIC-A is looking especially good. Meanwhile, the Warhammer IIC just became a sucker's purchase. Good luck unloading those.

Hi PGI, two questions,

1. Do you like people, who pay your bills?
2. Are CERM and CMPL the same weapon?

I can safely say that compared to the past 6 years, this patch is the best one yet.

I'm actually eager to try it out.

still room for a lot of adjustment though

It sounds like rather than actually go through with the lower heat cap. They nerfed Clan laser damage to compensate for upping dissipation, while still having a scaling cap with heatsinks. People were really positive about the heat cap nerf. Why couldn't we just have the changes people actually enjoyed? Is PGI just worried about making too drastic a change to live?

Also Ghost Heat limit quirks. Finally. I've been suggesting that for years. Curious to see how the Awesome 8Q does now. It's still as wide as a barn with low mounted weapons. So I doubt it'll be OP.

The IS PPC +1 GH quirk is useless because the HPPC exists.

So I guess they wont stop nerfing all direct playstyles until we all play lrm/atm? But who will hold locks for us?

Honestly this shuffling stuff around for hardly any benefit and nerfing all the good weapon combos got old a while back, if I have to rebuild 50 mechs because of the changes.........I'm just not doing this anymore.

Will the skill trees be reset since this will invalidate the choices previously made?

Excellent point. I'd like all of my Operations skill choices refunded as GXP because I sank 20 points into the tree for nearly all of my mechs as that skill tree actually works in the game currently. If it's being sharply reduced or outright broken on Tuesday, I'm literally being punished by having chosen that route.

Players should get one, ever other game that makes a change to play on this level does them without asking.

How is 2 Gauss + 1 ER PPCs going to work on Nightstar? You should be able to fire 3 ER PPCs because of quirk, but Gauss also has a ghost heat limit of 2.

I don't get it, you keep tampering with stuff that don't really need tampering all that much instead of fixing the real issues in the game, I get that stuff needs tuning but there are much more important bugs that need fixing, and on top of that if you REALLY had to make the changes you should have made them all together, not change heat stuff now and in next patch fix the PTS stuff regarding it, makes no sense, people invested time on those skills and you tell them that you gonna put them at a disadvantage and you will get around to it when you can, I'm very disappointed with this process and way to do things,I don't think you are striving to improve the game.

Awesome 8Q
HPPC
range max - 1,188m
range optimum - 594m
velocity - 1,440 m/s
heat (on 2) - 29 - 5.8 = 23.2

ERPPC
range max - 1,688m
range optimum - 891 m
velocity - 2,280 m/s
heat (on 3) - 40.5 - 8.1 = 32.4

3 ERPPCs on a light 280 engine yields a heat capacity of 71.6 from 22 SHS. With the incoming changes that heat capacity will be brought down to ~ 41.31. With a heat load of 32.4 you will still be able to fire all 3, which up until now was not possible. Heat dissipation from single heat sinks boosted from 0.13 to 0.14 heatsink dissipation rate per second(HDPS).

Old SHS with 3 ERPPC rule
A full load of 32.4 heat from firing 3 ERPPCs with the previous HDPS of 2.86 (22*0.13) will see 11.33secondsbefore full heat clear. A heat capacity of 71.6 would allow for 2 full back-to-back 3 shot alphas, only reaching 64.8 heat.

New SHS
A full load of 32.4 heat from firing 3 ERPPCs with the current HDPS of 3.08(22*0.14) will see 10.52seconds before full heat clear. A heat cap of ~41.31 would not allow for two alphas in a row, however with a higher than previous dissipation rate it will only take 7.63 seconds (vs 8.33 seconds previously) to cool for re-fire.

Idk. Haven't looked at the dubs, was just bored.

(why is this editor such a pain in the ***?)

One Simple Question, Why would we even CONSIDER equipping ANY weapon that generates more heat then it does Damage?, Seems like all of this "balancing" has become nothing but an Asinine attempt to continue to drive users from this game.
