If you look at the Awesome, there's a stat called HSL +1 in the quirks.

WHAT IS IT?!

Read the patch notes
+1 Heat Scale Limit - means you can now equip a third standard PPC without hitting the heat scale limit.
4 PPCs means you get penalized for one, etc.
