I'm in NA and only QP in NA, that works fine. In S7 I also select NA but once I landed on the Oceanic server with 300 ping, I'm not used to such ping and it's a totally different game so of course I lost. Then later I landed on the European server with a ping above 100 so again I knew I would probably lose.

Fact is I QP 99% of the time, and 100% on the NA server with a ping always around 15. I know I'm priviledged to live in Canada where server is located Posted Image and where cannabis is now legal Posted Image.

Yes it makes a difference when I have to deal with a ping above 100 or even worse, 300. I never know if I must shoot in slightly in front or behind the enemy because I'm not used to play those matches. 300 is pretty terrible and unplayable to me.

Why the server selection in S7 is not enforced? I don't mind to wait 20 minutes or leave if there is no one on NA, I prefer skip playing than getting in a match I know I will lost right from the start.

PGI do you hear me?

edit: fixed typo in title

Its never worked. You get eu players jumping in light mechs using lag shields kind of often.

It works like that in QP too.

I think we played all of our division 6 matches on the NA server.

I dunno, I usually get NA. But I'm playing the flea in that division, so I have NA selected.

I've played ~100 Solaris matches so far this season... the vast majority have been in NA, some EU (which isn't too bad). I've had a handful on Oceanic though... which is basically unplayable.

So you confirm we never know on which server we land for a match even when NA is selected.

Very frustrating early in a season, you lose a match and drop 100 positions then you need to win next 3-4 to get where you were initially. It's less of a problem when you have 200+ matches played but I never get there and this problem is enough to have me quit playing Solaris.

I have dropped hundreds of points from being disconnected(season 1). It took me almost 10 matches to get back to where i started. It just one of the reasons i stopped playing.

Because everyone else does not want to wait 20mins?

You wouldn't wait 20mins game in game out (nor would anyone else) so please, don't make utterly fanciful statements. The server selection is simply a 50/50 chance to match on the server selected by either player. That is the fairest way possible.

I play on EU with 400ms, I play on US (mostly) with 200-250ms (for Comp day in, day out btw) and sometimes I get OC server with 50ms.

I have no issue winning, never have. I would suggest you stop being a dramam queen and practice your aim. Anyone that blames ping as the main reason for their issue, is just making excuses.

Good for you that you learned to play with such high ping, if you were used to play with 15-45 all the time then drop to 300 you would understand what we mean, sorry but now you just can't.
