What is your highest alpha strike and what was your set up?

Archer, as many rocket launchers you can fit.
I often yell JIHAD WORD OF BLAKE.

Best you can do is 350 in an Archer with 1 MRM40, 7 RL20s and an RL15. The big boy alpha only works once, BUT it still leaves you with 1000 MRMs to sling after the fact.

Better question: what's the biggest alpha you can fire and survive? Archer rocket trolls and Direstars make for funny youtube clips, but they're kind of limited by instant self-immolation.

I'm thinking more along the lines of the BLAP! Atlas- but even that probably doesn't work anymore since the heat threshold change; IIRC it damn near pegged the heat gauge before, and with the durability nerfs to the S since I last ran that it's doubtful it'd live long enough to fire a second shot if it shut down after the first...

Im starting to like my HGR+MRM70 kraken. Its a relatively cool and consistent 95 damage alpha.

You can do it on any Atlas.

If you want something reusable with a high alpha, you'll want the Wrath... well. You don't want this, BUT this is technically the most you can get not involving single shot rockets and instant self destruction.

That's a 168 damage alpha you can use once every... 20 to 30 seconds.

Builds like these are proof that alpha isn't everything. No sense going wild when laser vomit, Gauss vomit and Heavy Goose + MPLs are the tested and proven best burst for minimal DPS sacrifice.

91.6 Alpha that fires twice without overheat.

I use to love trolling my Direstar... I usually was laughing so hard it didn't matter if I exploded or not, I was unable to pilot anyways Week 2 without logging in, one less pilot for the matchmaker, untrashcan my funny posts moderator, that you consider "unconstructive" and maybe I'll play again, might spend money again too.

AS7-S AC20 (24) + 2x SNPPC + 4x SRM6 (480)

Not really that high of Alpha, nor cool for brawling. But if anything else, it's the highest alpha I usually take seriously. 2x SNPPC + AC20 for pin-point damage, AC20 + 4x SRM6 for brawl, and all of them for lulz.
