TAG Laser...it seems to not even work. Before it use to Instantly Lock Targets... now it appears to do nothing. Is this also happening to you other players?

No, works fine for me. Make sure you are not under uncountered enemy ECM, as the TAG won't do anything then. Also, if you were using the Artemis loophole before, that doesn't work anymore.

Tag laser should reveal your position to anyone looking through the cockpit window within about 3 km.

Yup, who needs scouting when you have people giving away team positioning?

I can't prove it but locks, even with tag, seem to take much longer then I remember. I can't experience a big difference between no tag and tag. Lock on time is a bit shorter with tag but tag should result in an instant lock.

Tag does have a max range. Make sure you're within 750 m or 500 m for light tag, iirc.

What was the Artemis loophole?

Maybe that's what I was using, b/c like OP, I've definitely noticed a difference.

think it should work the living legends way.

first the beam is infrared and can only be seen in thermo. except for the player firing it (you can say its got a hud overlay to assist aiming).

second, all guided allied missiles when dumbfired can actually home in on the laser spot. meaning you can vector your lerms where you want them.

of course keep in mind living legends had much more robust electronic warfare features and so despite the advantages lrms are still not op in that situation unless a generous amount of teamwork is used.
