Just wanted to say hi I am a refugee from World of Tanks & can't wait for this game to kick off! I have been a fan of Battle Tech since the early 90's my experiences are.
I remember playing an old turn based game on the Amiga I seem to remember the character being called Jason.
Then there was also an animated series I used to watch about the Clanner attack on the Inner Sphere.
There was Mech Warrior Mercenaries late 90's I think then my most recent dip in to the Mech Universe was Mech Commander 1 & 2.
I am hoping to have enough money to get Legendary status before the offer runs out so any ideas when that is?
Cheers

As far as I have heard, the Founders packages will run through August 7..... but if all the Founders get into the closed Beta before that, they may close it earlier....

Ohh.. More experience then me. I just played MechWarrior and MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries. Most else was reading up the history and a little lore, but that's about it. Either way, welcome to what will be far superior to WoT(To me at least)! Enjoy your stay and much luck on getting a Legendary pack!

Welcome to MWO.
I would rather call you a Newb than a Noob though, big difference.
Hope you will enjoy this game once it gets released if not sooner.

Hey OP how the hell can you call yourself a noob, and this game is still in closed beta? Just because some people are playing the game before you in closed beta, doesn't give them the privledge of labeling you or anyone else. Closed beta is for testing, and its been repeated by the devs once this game goes open all ecp earned in beta is wiped! That means all of us Founders, and non Founders alike start with ZERO exp. Welcome to MWO, read and lurk the forums, use search, make some memes and friends and have fun.

Thanks it is one of the more positive things I have learned from my time in WoT. I went from a total forum novice to being a forum veteran. I hope to make my mark here as well as I now love the whole community aspect.

I dount they will be closing the Founders package any time soon, although i suspect that most who are going to buy have already done so. Maybe a late surge with people who couldnt decide and july payday coming up.

If anything it will be repackaged because they will need to keep that bank balance ticking over for the first months of release as the people most likely to spend money(founders) get the first few months premium with there package.
