Blasp Hero with 5-6xCERLL can be decent in long range trades, but overall Fatnir takes the lead--unless it gets nerfed again. That's the thing about IS mechs and their reliance on quirks. It is so easy for any high performing IS mechs to lose their quirks--as evidenced by the nerfs on the Anni, Bushwacker, Sleipnir, and even the Fatnir itself.

Blood Asp has no fear of any potential nerfs in comparison, as it is not used as much, and Clan tech is changed much less frequently than quirks.

Dude the reason the Blasp has no fear of being nerfed is it came nerfed out of the box.

Annihilator eats Fafnirs and Blood Asps. Arctic Wolf eats Annihilators. Clearly the Arctic Wolf is on top.

Urbanmech K9.

If you already have one, get a second for Sunday best.

It's got sirens, man. Flashing ******* sirens.

Blasp, Flapnir and Arctic-Dies-Instantly are all squishy and second rate. Run a MC MKII B for ballistic boating with more mobility than Blasp, Sleipnir or Anni are better than the Flapnir now with the ECM nerf. Strip half the ar.or off a Linebacker for the AWolf experience.

K9 can pull them over and cite them for being mediocre for their tonnages.

Real men drive trashcans.

Fafnir is a great LRM boat, or HG boat.. descent armor.. but slow and very wide..

Blood Asp is great, tough and good mixed mech - but the high torsos are fragile.

Arctic wolf - Glass cannon. Great second line LRM boat, but fragile up close.

Pre-nerf? Blood Asp, it was glorious for a few weeks.

Post-nerf? Fafnir, even with the quirk reduction.

It is still a good mech. Shows how good Clan tech is.

Oh you poor deluded dears.

In a game where the devs tell us that “balance is the best it has ever been” or “balance is nearly perfect” be it between techs or chassis, or weight classes, it is obvious that all variants of all mechs are pretty much the same, and all pretty much just as situational as any other, regardless of build. So what set’s a mech apart from other in this balance nirvana? When the devs decide to allow a mech to do something no other mech can do, however situational or incidental that something may be.

Thus, the obvious and only answer to the OP’s question is the Spider 5V.

(Yes this was sarcasm. A bit of absurdity, mixed with the honest to god statements of the devs, but sarcasm nontheless.)

If you go by looks I think the Bloodasp is one of the best looking mechs in the game. Can't wait to buy one.

I had a lot of success with Blasps. There's some great builds for them. Not top tier but very solid. Fatnirs are pretty good as well but a little one trick ponies it feels like, less flexible than the Blasp.

Arctic wolves are ok. Not something I fear but also not bad or anything.

Our Lord and Savior the Annihilator. Why is there even a discussion about this?
