So the next mech will very likely be an IS light.
Hoping for Hollander.
Will probably be something lame like a Razorback (Another Osiris) or Anubis (Another Javelin).

The Hollander is a terrible mech. It's bad on table top and will be epic levels of terrible in MWo.
Just think about how many Urban mech builds we see with big ballistics in actual use? Now imagine those few big ballistic builds being placed onto larger easier to hit oversized 35 ton chassis.
We will have the basic Hollander with only ballistic hardpoints in the right torso so unless they are inflated beyond reason we might see 4 ballistic in the RT and NOTHING else. So basically garbage.
Then we have variants like...
BZK-G1: LB10X in the RT and a medium laser in each arm. So maybe 2 ballistic in the RT and 2 Energy in each arm if PGI is generous.
The BZK-F series are really medium mechs called the Hollander II at 40 tons.
So we will need to see a BZK-P (PGI) variant to make three distinct Hollander light mechs.
Apart from bad hardpoint options the Hollander is an I.S. 35 ton mech and will not likely see use because of the rescale hitting the 35 ton mech chassis hard. Since the mech rescaling the only I.S. 35 ton mech I see used with any frequency is the Wolfhounds and those are uncommon.

The problem is we have like 600+ variants in the game already, which makes it difficult for a new mech to stand out and offer new builds, possibilities, and ways to have fun (Hello, Vulcan). So to create new and exciting options we need crazier chassis and the Hollander definately is a crazy chassis between its shape and its dedication to single large high-mounted weapons, with proper offensive and defensive quirks, the mech could be a viable gauss pocket sniper, which I need.

may you get your hollander*; many guys want it, and why not?
after all:
If they release MY crusader next, I just don't give a *beep* what comes after it.
Crusader or riot, PGI. and I mean that in the kindest possible way.
*some time after the mighty Crusader that EVERYBODY in his right mind should want next

It's not a medium but we do have Solaris, after all. This can be justified.

Bro. 7 machine guns and a ridiculous amount of mrms would be turbo-fun.
But I don't think it is fast enough to meme.

Even within the table top game that has a multitude more and varied chassis the Hollander was GARBAGE!
The Hollander is a slow light mech with an XL engine that sat next an EXPLOSIVE! main gun and because of it being inside a light mech insuficient armor to protect either the Gauss or the XL engine and not enough speed to compensate for a lack of armor.
It was slow, fragile and expensive. I actually played in a long standing table top mercenary campaign were we determined the best light platform for a gauss rifle was to refit the Saladin hover tank AC20 with a Gauss rifle. Cheaper by far and easier to aquire and maintain. What it comes down to is the Hollander isn't a mech anyone really needs or would be willing to pay for.
For MWo the Hollander will need absurd levels of quirks along with significant hardpoint inflation to make it even nitch viable.
Since it must utilize an XL engine to be a Gauss carrier the side torsos will need huge armor and structure buffs and I do mean both side torso because it's a slow light mech. Since the XL engine means death if even to non gauss side is destroyed.
And since it will be limited to an ammo dependant weapon (that in MWo you need double the ammo as a table top design) the quirks for that weapon need to be HUGE to merit utilizing the Hollander over pretty much anything else.
Meanwhile we already have a better "pocket gauss sniper" with the Cougar. you can pack a Gauss w/4 tons ammo,5 ER Micro Lasers and the all important ECM (to make it all work) And not have several of the problems the Hollander has (like a gauss rifle sharing a torso with an I.S. XL engine)
But if you want an Inner Sphere options try testing out a Firestarter FS9-H it has a torso ballistic hardpoint and matches the Hollander's 35 tons (should simulate the Hollander's likely size as it is also 35 tons)
You will need a 180XL + 3 additional heatsinks,Endo Steel and Ferro armor. Strip the arms nearly naked and have enough space for a single gauss and 4 tons ammo....enjoy the psudo-Hollander.

My main argument for "why not? " is why? why should the I.S. get another useless doorknob of a mech to toss on the pile with the Hellspawn,Uziel,Thanatos,Nightstar,Osiris...see a patern emerging? many of the recent mech releases for I.S. have been hot garbage.
We don't need another wasted mech release on another dumpster fire of a chassis.

I will still defend the Osiris - it's a solid Energy 'mech for IS @ 30 tons - faster than the Javelin & Urbanmech, more of a threat than the Spider.
