Admittedly, playing against another player is always more sportting.

But like several others have said. it's best use would be for testing out your mech, or training yourself.

I play on MekMatch here and there. and recently switched to a Joystick from a mouse. There is no way in **** I could have learned to use the thing if I only had other people to play against. And I imagine there will be quite a few Green hornes coming to play. They'll need the practice time.

Mouse is a good choice, much better for aim.

Bot matches will be sorely needed for people to get up to speed on handeling these mechs.
