It is kinda funny, I am looking forward to getting new Mechs when the years' rewards come in next week, but I am kinda not looking forward to skilling them at the same time... I currently have my best season ever, match score wise.

I hope I can keep that level of play with the new Mechs.

Do keep in mind that MWO is a game and not your job. (or is it? Posted Image)

If you don't feel like doing something, for goodness sake don't do it.

Keep playing the mechs you enjoy or excel with, and see how great of a season you can get.

Then decide if you want to skill your new loyalty mechs if at all.

Ultimately, the question you should ask yourself is: Are you having fun?

All I can say is get some new mechs, have some fun, and don't worry about stat pages Posted Image The stat pages are meant to inspire you to be a better player, but just because you're levelling some mechs and go down some rankings doesn't make you a *worse* player, it just makes you a better player who's leveling some mechs.

Besides which, it's moving outside your comfort zone that makes you a better player anyway, and keeps the game fresh!

/Dropped from 93% to 76% last month as I was levelling up a bunch of mechs.
//This month, I got some more new mechs to level! Don't care; had fun Posted Image

If your going into MWO with a 'esport' mentality your already doing it wrong, CSGO and R6 players might spend more time stressing over their W/L K/D ratios (and rank) but doing that in MWO is like those parents that go to little league games and absolutely go into fits of rage when its not going the way they expected.

meanwhile MWO players should generally take this sort of approach

(Can you just imagine how much happier PGI would be if we just didnt care and threw money at them no matter what? HA.)

Skilling up fresh mech is an absolute pain, I fully agree on that, and it somewhat kills the desire to pick up and try out new chassis. And it's not because of stats, but because you lose BIG on performance without skill nodes. They make too big of a difference. Without skills you feel like a naked man running with a pee-shooter.

Thankfully there's only one mech left in the game that I want to skill up, and I have enough gen exp to at least pick some most crucial nodes to ease my suffering on the road to 91.
