Once upon the time, around 2580, there were a small star cluster, seen from Terra as a Pleiades Cluster.
It was captured by Federated Suns, for reasons unknown.
Most would say, for territory.
Someone else (particulary Star League Military) would say, to punish Taurian Concordat during Reunification War.
And someone other would say, that colonists discovered a weird, meta-stable material, being a some sort of alloy... 
Anyhow, now in 3067, the Federated Suns are in disarray due to Civil War against the secesionist Lyran Alliance. The Taurians sees this as a chance to recapture long lost Pleiades once and for all.
Will the "Pleiades Campaign" succeed?
It's up to you.
So, the plan is, to do a Faction Play event, where you could fight as Taurian Concordat (PGI plz add the Periphery Nations, with Aurigan Coalition as well) against Federated Suns.
Tasks would be mostly to capture the Cluster (or systems belonging to it). Faction participants which wins, gets major prize, losing - a minor one.
I still need to think about tasks, but I'm certain it should be a something quite easy for unskilled and/or Weekend Warriors, like me.
