During the last mech sale, I bought a second ASN-21 to complement my FP deck skilled one. I already had upwards of 120k exp sat on my original ASN, but even though I had bought the exact same mech, I couldn't access the earned exp for it.
Anyone care to explain what the logic would be in preventing this, even when I rebuilt the new one to the same specification?
I can understand not being able to use the exp across different versions of the chassis, but this, really doesn't make any sense.

XP is earned per individual mech now, not per variant. This happened when they introduced the new skill tree.
If you earned that XP before the skill tree was introduced, it should be available as "Historic XP" that you can apply to the second mech.

And, if you sell that original ASN..*poof*... your experience in piloting it vanishes with the mech. This is the stupidest thing about the new EXP tree/system. Seems like it was done just to make MC sales, but it in actuality stops you from buying say a Hero mech or special version of the mech that would result in higher MC sales than some minor GXP conversion.
