So I hit once or twice then displace to far away for another shot. But this is not "Hit and Fade" by MWO score keeping. So what is the requirement for a MWO "Hit and Fade"?

Hit and Run:
  • A hit and run “Score” is generated based off an engagement.
  • Every point of damage dealt counts for 1 point of score.
  • Every point of damage taken counts for -2 points of score.
  • If score is greater than 10, you are awarded with a hit and run award.
  • If the total damage taken during the engagement is greater than 15 the score is zeroed and no award is given.

Easiest way to score them is artillery from hiding, stand still... moment the enemy moves after you damage them you'll score it.

There is a thread on Reddit asking this too. The straight most layman answer is that after you deal more than 10 damage, and assume you receive none in return, hide for about 10 seconds, and a "hit and run" should generate.

The 10 seconds of downtime must be uninterrupted. Meaning if you got shot or shoot at someone at 9.9 seconds, you will fail to generate a hit and run.

Most people failed precisely because of what I mentioned. They see their massive alpha has returned from cooldown, so they immediately fire again. Thus, ending the timer. You can fire every 5 seconds the whole game with no one laying an eye on you and you won't get a single hit and run. So the don't do anything for 10 seconds is very important.

Best way to get this would probably be an ERLL ECM scout or something like that.

preferably a light with long range weapons. i had trouble scoring them in my short range hmg and micro laser piranha build. i got them, but it took 4 games. i could have got them all in one game if i had a single lpl on a locust or something.

This one is actually really annoying to do, since you have to shoot something, and then completely disengage for 10 seconds to get 1 hit and run.
