Sleipnir is probably the game's strongest Inner Sphere assault mech, hero status having nothing to do with it. Some might argue that the Cyclops hero is also the game's strongest hero mech, period, and I'd have to work to put that viewpoint to the side.

My favorite IS hero is the Bounty Hunter II however. It can do several different mixed energy and ballistic builds well and has a jump jet option. It also just handles so smoothly and is so darned durable in comparison to any Clan mech in its weight class. The Bounty Hunter II just doesn't feel like it's second rate to anything.

Doesnt the hero AWS have PPC quirks and can carry 3?? Seems pretty meta if it can.

Only get the iv4 if you like mrms. If youre a mrm player its one if not the best. I have ran it with ac weapons it does "good" but nothing better than other mechs

How do you fit 4 LBX10 in a Sleipnir? 2 ballistic hardpoints in each ST but not enough slots is the way I see it.

May be a bit dated, but I always find the 4SRM4 Oxide with XL280 and 4.5 tons of ammo does amazing on the field. Torsos have armor and structure of a heavy mech, and it has good quirks for the missles.

Did you try to use standard engine?
It absolutely can do quad LB10.

If you want a general-purpose heavy brawler and/or MRM thrower you can't really go wrong with the Quickdraw IV-4. Both Roughneck heroes are also good, as the chassis is in general.

lol I make more cbills taking meta mechs than hero mechs. Hero cbill bonus is a quirk to balance them

No. It only has 2 energy that can handle PPCs. The third one is in the head.
