Queue This Weekend Was As Toxic As This Founder Has Seen It.

Has the game gotten so stale that every person who has watched a twitch stream thinks they know the one true path to victory? And are pilots so unwilling to change their approach that when a person calls for a push, designates a target, or asks for help they would rather that person die on their own than possibly see their team succeed? Why play a game like this if you aren't going to work with your teammates?
I finally have a weekend free and I feel that my time in MWO recently has been an absolute disappointment. Just an absolute letdown. What a waste.

I saw a Fafnir on Polar, in a brawling build, at 95% armour go capping.
I saw a half dead enemy missile boat push one of our mid range guys who kept falling back, trying his best to stay around 300 meters range... Nope, he did not have any range dependent weaponry.
I saw an good armoured lurm Assault try to lurm the medium mech that had 2 lasers left, at a range of ca. 80 meters. Any calls to lurm the enemy Assault in 300 meters fell on deaf ears.
I saw plenty of heavy mechs charge a firing line, on both sides, almost getting to the point where they did a full 60 damage before they died.
***EDIT: And I forgot the 4xATM12 Assault that kept firing his missiles at 1200 meters to the target... /facepalm***
I just do not understand what goes on in people's minds. Even being unfamiliar in an unskilled mech that not explain all that. I am beginning to understand why people quit this game. Namecalling after games, followed by a quick disconnect, usually by people with damage in the double digits. I am getting tired of this.

Ah, that's funny !!! Events are the only thing bringing population into the game........
Non-event days are endless waits for any type of match and absolutely schizophrenic/bi-polar game play: new and vet does not equal quality games...
Oh EL, pray for events because the rest of us simply aren't playing anymore...................much anyway.

Here's an idea... instead of secretly freaking out on that player and getting frustrated, simply inform them in a polite manner what the real situation is. You will inform that player so that they won't duplicate the same mistake in future matches.
The last match I played, I informed the team at the start of the match that we had to keep tabs on the score, as we didn't want to be up 11-4 and lose due to caps. Guess what... we were up 11-4 and everyone was talking about the cap situation in chat and we smartly took care to preserve the win. Don't assume everyone knows what you know.

I tend to do that on voice, to expected results. I sometimes wonder whether people have voice chat turned off or whether they cannot play and listen at the same time.

My rules of "Don't play on weekends" and "don't play during events" and "don't play before 9pm or after 12" just got expanded to include "don't use anything other than testing grounds".

Yeah bro, that will do wonders for NPE.
Whats actually needed (in the absence of an actual handicap system) is a functioning skill based match maker and a better tutorial.

It was the same in the few days between events.

A little coordination even between two mech pilots go a long way. The biggest issue however is the lack of competent players and players showing massive disregard to their surroundings. All on top of players bringing some of the most ridiculous piles of garbage mechs configurations to the field that leave other players having to pick up the massive amount of slack due that poor built mech's presence has on the team.

A tutorial in the mech bay would work wonders. However, something like aiming and finding good positions can't really be taught; good examples could be shown, but players will have to figure out positioning on their own as it is both reactive and proactive measure.

But yes, the MM should be based around the average match score rather than Tier system. If there aren't enough players piloting the variety of mechs needed to form a 12-man team, then take other variables into account.
