I had a I5-3550 (3.1 ghz), 8 GB with a TI-550. (they stopped supporting it last April) I was getting about 25-30 with dips. I got a 1060 6GB, now i get 55-60, with slight dips. It's so much better. I can push back the chip/board upgrade another year. I got a new 2TB drive myself in the mail today so i can do a fresh install.

Just wanted to give you something to compare to.

I didn't buy the memory. Just have the 8 gig. 32gig would have been the most the board could have supported. I don't think it would have helped mwo much as a lot of other hardware threads mention it seems mwo needs all the cpu on a single thread you can shovel mwo through.

More memory will help. Copious amounts or memory will only useful for utilizing multiple tabs/programs.

The main thing to look in RAM is speed. Higher the speed the better the stable frames per second and overall frames per second, though mileage will vary. On a side note also look for ddr4 RAM cards; ddr3 is becoming extremely outdated, and will rather hinder your PCs performance overall.

For clarification; you're running this in 1080p with medium settings I take it?

That's exactly the type of frame rates I had. It's not super great but good enough i could run locusts. I had all settings on low except for environment and textures which I had at medium. For skyrim and mgsv i could go medium or very high. I also turned off cockpit glass. I also tried to minimize all background proccess that I could when running mwo. At most I ran fraps, anti virus and bare minimal background processes.

I'm also running a 1080 (yes I know, bottlenecks with this cpu). So yeah, MWO just dislikes AMD sadly.
