Can we get a report on the hardware specs of the machines used and played on? I know from experience that pgi wouldn't dare attempting to use a minimal spec pc because no one would play at or under 15 fps. My dell latitude E4300 laptop is proof enough of that. My query of Chris on the hardware pgi uses to run mwo has gone unanswered thus far.

I'm betting they have a deal with the likes of some one like, for example, msi to set up,test run,run and maintain whatever machines will be at mech con. Knowing what hardware is used would be great info for everyone who wants to build an mwo dedicated pc compared to just forcing mwo to run on the machine they have.

Give us the nerdy stuff. Cpus, video cards, ram, cases, water cooling, etc.

Keep in mind those machines are running MW5 w/ UNREAL engine, not MWO. Also single player games don't have the same CPU overhead that MP games have.

These are the stage tourney computer specs from last year (straight from Paul Inouye), I imagine they're using the exact same computers for us this year as well:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
Corsair H100i GTX 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Gigabyte GA-Z170MX-Gaming 5 Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
G.Skill Ripjaws Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory
Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive • Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Corsair Air 240 MicroATX Mid Tower Case
Corsair RM 1000W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

Despite that computer, they also pair it to 60hz 1920x1080 monitors, which we were all hoping would be 144hz

Nice. Bummer I already have parts ordered and almost delivered for my rebuild. I'll have to look at it all on newegg etc later to see if I could find low budget parts to get any where close to those ones. Ah well. The fun of building pcs.

Pro tip: Ask first, then order. Posted Image

I think you don't need to worry much. Any rig capable of running a current single player fps with high details should have no problems with MW5. If you try to copy exactly the rig used on Mechcon, you may even pay more than necessary because for example the GTX 1080 is no longer produced which leads to low availability and therefore higher prices.
I'm pretty sure that a much cheaper gfx card than the 1080 will do well too.
