I always Record my matches. Always.
Just played on HPG Manifold in my hellbringer. Ac20 5
Medium pulse. Amazing match. I haven't had a match that close
And that good in awhile. 7 kills 8 kmdds 1205 damage. And
I needed some video for my hellbringer. Hell yeah I got it.
Oh wait...no I didn't. I didn't hit the damn record button.
Just broke my hand on the wall

Bummer. It's always cool when you break your own personal records or cluth out a 3-4 mech comeback to win a match. Next time spam the print screen button for screen shots. Not as good as a video but it's some thing.

Ouch. I enabled Nvidia's shadow play on my 1080. I can hit alt-f10 and get the last 15 mins of in game action in a glorious high definition recording. Requires a beefy system with nvme drive. My game play archive is around a hundred matches and growing. Good thing I have a 8TB NAS to store it all

It just fills your HDD up with bog standard battles.
Many recording tools have an option to record the last X minutes of gameplay in memory, like most dashcams do. When you had a good match/scene you just hit a key and only then this buffer is saved to your HDD. Saves lots of time and HDD memory.

Yep, doesn't mean you'll remember to start them up though. Even ShadowPlay with auto startup still managed to totally screw up videos I thought it was recording, they turned out green and corrupt. The universal law is that whenever something cool happens, it's not on anyone's camcorder.
