PGI needs to get rid of the dumb diminishing returns on jumpjets. you should be rewarded for taking as many jumpjets as you can fit on your mech; not rewarded for taking the minimal number of jumpjets and punished for taking more than that.

jumpjets should have exponential gains instead. 1 jumpjet shouldnt be that good. but jumpjets should get exponentially better the more you put on the mech.

that way they can make assault jumpjets decent but with the requirement that players have to take at least 3-4 jumpjets to jump reasonably well.

I don't like the idea of jumpjet quirks because that just lets PGI continue to ignore the larger issue of fixing jumpjets using the excuse that "some assaults with jumpjets can jump". ALL assaults with jumpjets should be able to jump.

Yes, PGI, thank you for TWO! FREE! ASSAULT! HERO! mechs. You didn't have to, but you did. You do a lot of questionable things to MechWarrior Online and I have severe doubts in you as developers... but as people I have respect for you. You treat your players AS PLAYERS and HUMAN BEINGS! Few do these days but you are among those few.
So thank you for the many gifts through the year and for this latest one. I cannot wait to experiment with them and pull out the most they can bring to the field :)

Still, 5 energy for a 80 ton mech is really mediocre.

With Jjs basically shoehorning it into a CERPPC poptart role.

While it is undoubtedly a mediocre mech, is could still do some nice stuff with 2LPL and 3 MPL(I frequently use such build on clan heavys) with big TC, AMS and 1-2JJ. Will give it a try I guess.
Btw, Vanguard is awesome even with stock omnipods, 2LB10+3SRM4 or some other stuff.

I can make it work. So it can't carry 14 MG's. There's better stuff than 14 MG's, right?

in any case it is useful - even if you sell it: you get CBs and a mech bay. So why throw a fit?
