Plenty of trenches to use for cover, and flank with. Yet most the team still walks across open ground the enemy has full view up.

I like your thinking, but I can't help but feel some of those trenches need to be deeper

Some could be but a lot of assaults need to be several meters shorter.

At 34,000, those "trenches" are canyons and valleys.

More like say, the Canyon map with hell frozen over.

Polar is where that MASSIVE map making budget was really put to good use (OOZING SARCASM YOU PLEB), that being said I lost a QP match last night against a LRM team - cause we refused to stop crushing them to go aaaaaaaaaaallllll the way back to base to stop a jenner from capping, was worth it.
