It's ok to want something else, but demeaning the game population for wanting to play a particular type of match doesn't do anyone any good (most of the population does not enjoy playing 1v1 with big stompy robots though - but again, it's what they want).

Maybe PGI is going to take the VIP Atlas and replace it with a giant Santa for a Christmas event.
Escort Santa to his sleigh before the naughty list players can stop him.
then again i doubt PGI could even pull this off, even with 12 month notice.

I'm not sure making the VIP fight back would have "fixed" the mission. Changing course, sure. But that would be minor in the overall scheme.
Hmm. Not sure it can be done programmatically, but being able to switch who's "attacking" and "defending" - say, having to prevent repair teams from getting to an assault mech in X time, if you fail the mech powers up and leads an assault on the former attackers stronghold... which they then have to defend for some time?
I'm not sure. But more modes (and maps in the rotation - of all types, cold, hot, non-HPG lunar... ) would be welcome.

Really... what would help is a 30 second lobby... like faction play... that followed voting, having all choices available vs limited choices, and not trying to manipulate the community into game modes with events. (We all love the light mech ones that spur on the suicide uav'ers and whatnot).

On the other hand, there is now less content in the game, and Escort was not replaced by something better.
I hope they rework it into something fun.. Or introduce a good replacement..
