The 77th Grey Guards/ Black Wolves are looking for new recruits!



Who are we?

We are a NA/EU based unit with a good amount of players from around the world. We focus on CW/FP. Since we are mercs we switch between IS and Clan ~ every week.
Our ~55ladies and gentleman unit has a long tradition and we are proud to have been able to play with great players as unitmembers and brothers in arms from the Clan Wolf Delta Galaxy and Mercstar.

Joined MS 3 months ago, and 77th were one of the most helpful, welcoming, open and also "keeping together" bunches of people on that TS. Well, and in my TZ as well. =]
Joined them as a trainee, then a bondsman and then a warrior - still no regrets....
Which is strange, considering, that third of them is drunk half of the time, another third is stoned, and the rest - both at the same time. Which leaves me, a boring teetotaler, somewhat at odds with the majority.
Ah, and also from time to time people there talk some weird European languages no one truly understands.
Absolutely NO idea how we managed to face some good teams during Tuk-2 and still not lose a single game.
Sense of humor (or at least what they consider one) is a must though =]

P.S. (a reeelly late one) - 77th is actually a serious unit with serious attitude towards teamplay and drops in general. No "try-hards", but no "pish-all" either. The ability to take a joke and generally relaxed attitude really does help a lot, though. =]

We are mainly an EU unit, with our full 12 (well, sometimes 16 or even more - meaning either two 8s, or a 12 and extras dropping on their own or with mixed MS groups) dropping every day in EU TZ, but we do have people from across the pond as well, and those, who drop with the rest of the MS during US TZ because of weird work-shifts and such.
We would certainly like to gain some more presence during the US TZ, so the western chapter of the 77th would be able to gather their own 12 and have their own stable lances to train and drop with in their own TZ as well, and not just catch occasional euro-folks just before they go to bed, or play during the day.
But whichever timezone - TS always has people there, and groups playing most of the time, be it 77th or MS in general. So, whenever is your gaming time - you'd have some company to play with.
Say no to empty TS' and unactive units \o/

Well... this happened

Disclaimer - all my screenshots in this thread are 77th drops, with no more than 2-3 members of other units within MS. Also, there is obviously a degree of manipulation with the screenshots - I delete all names, apart from my own. The rest stays untouched.



Admittedly though, they've spanked us (we were attacking) on the same map a couple of days before that, so, this was just a bit of a payback.

77th is the most active and memberwise largest MS subgroup during the EU timezone. And if their style and your style match, there is no better unit to drop with!

I am EU and need an EU, not NA based unit so am interested. I'm at work right now but i will check it out when i get home later.

I was actually part of CWDG for some time, around the time when clans first launched. My bondholder was XPhoenix and i ended up as a Star Commander before i left and went on a break from the game.

When i came back i decided to roll as IS and have ever since. Is there a restriction on what mechs we can use in the 77th Grey Guards?

Thank you for your interest. And yeah I still can remember your name back from our touman within the Deltas. With phoenix as a bondsholder I am sure you had one of the best trainings.

As for IS mechs: most of our dropdecks include thunderbolts, battlemasters and some others. Just log into our ts and ask any of the officers for further informations + the 77th officers for explicit drop deck details.

A bunch of screens at once from today (well, two from yesterday)... because why not?..

BOMJ 8v8 and LIB 8v7(6) - early EU, when we don't have full 12, and when RU-players are actually active.

Very close brawling match vs DERP, 6v6

And because people think, that "units don't fight units" - here are some losses vs what most consider to be top CW teams:
BMMU 8v12 and KCOM (8)7v11.

So, yeah... looking for easy stomps without need for improvement? Not here, mate. GG. 77GG o7
