So, for those who don't know, playing with arm-lock locks your pilot's head to torso, effectively reducing your mouse sensitivity to whatever your torso speed is and making it very slow to effectively twist in larger mechs. If you play with arms unlocked, your head follows your mouse, letting you twist with smaller mouse movements.

Can we get an option to unlock the player's head from the torso, so the player's view and mouse sensitivity keeps the unlocked-arms behavior even when arms are locked? An option, so the people who want the current behavior for whatever reason can still use it.

Edit: For more clarity, I mean the player's view. The pilot's head, not the mech's head.

Hold "Ctrl" key. Mouse around. See gadgets in cockpit. You're welcome.

try re-reading his post and try again.

OP using the press and hold hotkey for armlock gives you the result you need with no added effort on the devs or QA. when you release the key your arms instantly snap back to torso. This lets you turn and aim with armlock off then fire with it on with no issue
