actually no is hasnt been like this since beta lol. Had no issues in bets and in the first few years finding matches. Would jump out and right back into a match. Now im lucky to get a match every 15 minutes. Ive been here since beta so yeah it was not like this then.
This is my second account. Played during beta. Quit, made new account maybe 6 or so months back. My experience was waiting fklong to get matches.

It’s a holiday, the game is always dead over Christmas. And make sure you check all the servers, it increases the likelihood of getting into a match. Though lag is a real thing right now, I was in one last night where I had average ping on the NA server and in a fight on the ramp in Canyon my FPS dropped to single digits totally without warning. It cleared up in a second or two but I went down during the slide show.

Well I am also at work right now (24 hour shifts in EMS). However I am on almost every night I am off being the addict that I am. Also check out Twitch for streamers who do sync drops. Everybody clicks the launch button at the same time on the stream and usually gets a pretty quick match up with either people on the stream or random PUGs.

So we have an Event going on and i can not get into a group que at all. My brother and I got into 1 match in the past 3 hours in single que and it placed us on different teams. Thats fine, was fun fighting my brother lol. But in that full 3 hours, any time we tried jumping into a game as a group... nothing... searching, searching, searching. PGI, your game is dying. You need to fix this!!
I understand the rage is all MW5 Mercs right now, but your first born is on life support lol.

PGI: Lets pull out the life support to save on the electrical bills.

since mechcon group queu has pretty much been dead. PGI basically said nothing new is planned for MWO besides a vague promise to look at faction play, but only if it's easy changes. They cratered their own game with the lack of enthusiasm they showed. :-/

If PGI was smart, they'd take advantage of the dedicated Mechwarrior fan-base. They could set up a project using one of the many software project collaboration platforms, many free, and allow volunteers to submit and Q/A code. They could have MWO ported to UE4 and new maps created, etc etc with minimal labor, time, and cost to PGI while simultaneously being a fantastic advertising/PR opportunity and tool.
PGI needs to think outside the box. They've got a potential Golden Goose but they lack the resources and most importantly, the manpower, to attack such a huge project and make that goose produce like it should.
The biggest strength the Mechwarrior franchise has are it's fans. PGI needs to leverage the power just sitting there, drooling for such an opportunity to help build their dream. If PGI ignores such potential and opportunity then my hopes are slim.
