I think I'll buy the Paralyzer with MC. It just seems too good to pass up.

I really suggest trying out a c-bill Hellspawn before spending MC on the chassis. Hellspawns are not good and the Paralyzer being a hero doesn't change that. Enforcer Ghillie is much better.

The way I'm seeing it, with the Paralyzer, I can switch the loadout to a speedy disabler/killer like this PARALYZER or change to ranged support mech while the Ghillie will most likely always be a ranged mech with one large ballistic weapon to be potent on the field. I could with 2 ERLL and some combination thereof but I don't see it being as versatile as the Paralyzer. Am I wrong in thinking like that?

I use my Ghillie with an LBX10 and 4 MLs and use the stealth armor as on-demand radar deprivation while brawling. It's extremely good. The ballistic cooldown bonus works much better with an autocannon than with a gauss rifle.

Something to take into mind, you don't share targets while on stealth, so you can't lock-on in most cases either.

This is true, but when you're using stealth armor while standing next to an assault mech to make yourself a low priority target (a valuable thing to do in a medium without great survival quirks), sensor info sharing is moot because the team will take care of it for you. The Ghillie isn't really a flanker/stalker like some other stealth mechs but rather uses the stealth armor to prolong its lifespan on the field so the fast-firing LBX10 can make a bigger difference in the late game. At least, that's how I use it.

I think I'll pick up the Paralyzer now and for the next Hero mech sale, I'll see if I want the Ghillie. I'm liking the idea of using a stealth medium mech as a scout-disabler. I'm choosing the Hellbringer as my reward for the same reason that it is versatile.

You'll get lots of people telling you the Paralyzer is garbage, so I'll offer a different viewpoint: It's not.

I run it with 6 med lasers and 2xRL20s. I also use jump jet nodes (gasp!!!!) which people will also tell you is terrible. Popping out of cover to shoot, then tapping the jets and getting back into cover allows you to elude lots of return fire. But don't face tank anything, whatever you do.

If you play it right, it's a ton of fun. I'm in Tier 1 and I have lots of multi-kill games with 5-700 damage. I even did over 1000 once. (Of course, sometimes you'll get ganked if you screw up, but that's the way it goes.)

It won't be to everybody's liking, but when people say they're flat out garbage, take that with a grain of salt.

Go for the Paralyzer and have fun!
